Negate Attack discussion

Because it counters your opponents attack.

But then a counter trap card only counter other cards in a chain, and declaring an attack is not a chain. So meaning, when you activate Negate Attack that means that you're starting a chain, which contradicts the meaning of Counter Trap Cards.

Also, it will not make a difference if Negate Attack became a Normal Trap Card.

What?

Being a counter trap doesn't mean anything, it's just a higher spell speed. You don't need a chain to activate a counter trap. Being a counter stop a lot of chainables like you couldn't chain Decree to it.

Again, it would make a difference if it was a Normal trap.
