SnowBunny
This is an archetype of machine-type monsters with various attributes. They can attack directly if all of your opponent's monsters are in defense position. The boss monsters are the Synchro cards, and consist of level 8 and 12 monsters. The main deck monsters are all level 4 except 1, which is level 8, for easier summoning of a level 12. There are 3 sub-types for the monsters. They are is AI-#, Beta, and Evol. AI-# are the humanoid looking and are the robots that failed getting to Evol, Beta are mostly humanoid and more machine looking and are like the first ones created (the test robots), and Evols are suppose to be the perfect machines. This is just a little backstory on the process to make the perfect robot, the Evols aren't super over-powered, they are about the same as the rest. [spoiler= Main Deck Monsters]If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. If you control a "SynchROBOT" monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Once while this card is in the GY when an opponent's monster targets a "SynchROBOT" monster you control for an attack: You can negate that attack, then change that monster to Defense Position. Your opponent cannot change that monster's battle position until the End Phase. If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. If all monsters your opponent control are in Attack Position, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). When this card is summoned, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls: Change it to face-up defense position. (Flip effects are not activated at this time.) If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. This card can attack twice during each Battle Phase. If this card is used for a Synchro Summon of a "SynchROBOT" Monster, that monster can attack twice during each Battle Phase, but the damage it deals to your opponent on its second attack, is halved. If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. If your opponent controls more monsters than you do, while you have only "SynchROBOT" monsters in your GY: You can Special Summon this card from your hand or GY. You can only use the effect of "SynchROBOT AI-4 "Duke"" once per turn. If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. When this card is Summoned: You can change 1 monster your opponent controls to Defense Position. (Flip effects are not activated at this time.) Once, while this card is in the GY: You can target 2 "SynchROBOT" cards in your GY, shuffle them into the Deck, then draw 1 card. If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. When this card is Summoned: You can add 1 "SynchROBOT" card from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn: You can discard 1 card, then Special Summon 1 "SynchROBOT" monster from your Deck, except "SynchROBOT AI-6 "Heavy Artillery"". It cannot be used as a Material for a Summon, except for the Summon of a "SynchROBOT" monster. If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. If this card is destroyed by battle with an opponent's attacking monster, you can place it in your Spell & Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell Card instead of sending it to the Graveyard. When a monster your opponent controls is changed to Defense Position: You can Special Summon this card from the Spell & Trap Zone. You cannot use this effect the turn it is placed in the Spell & Trap Zone. If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. If all monsters you control are Machine-Type, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand), but its ATK and DEF are halved. Cannot be used as Material for a Summon, except the Summon of a Machine-Type monster. If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. If this is the only card in your hand: You can Special Summon it. When this card is Special Summoned by its effect: You can change 1 monster your opponent controls to face-up defense position, then add 1 "SynchROBOT" monster from your Deck or GY, to your hand, except "SynchROBOT AI-10 "Praying Mantis"" (Flip effects are not activated at this time.) You can only Special Summon "SynchROBOT AI-10 "Praying Mantis"" once per turn this way. [spoiler= Extra Deck Monsters] 1 "SynchROBOT" Tuner + 1 non-Tuner Machine-Type monsterIf all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. While you control this face-up card, your opponent cannot banish cards. When this card inflicts damage to your opponent by a direct attack: You can shuffle 2 cards from your opponent's GY into the Deck. 1 "SynchROBOT" Tuner + 1 Level 8 "SynchROBOT" monsterIf all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. Cannot be destroyed by battle. If all monsters you control are Attack Position "SynchROBOT" monsters (min. 1), then all battle damage this card inflicts from direct attacks is doubled. 1 "SynchROBOT" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Machine-Type monstersIf all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. When this card is Synchro Summoned: Send the top 5 cards of your Deck to the GY, then destroy cards your opponent controls up to the number of "SynchROBOT" monsters sent to the GY by this card's effect. You can only Summon 1 "SynchROBOT Beta "Extinction" per turn. 1 "SynchROBOT" Tuner + 1 non-Tuner "SynchROBOT" monsterIf all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. You can draw cards equal to the number of face-up Defense Position monsters your opponent controls. You must control no monsters, except Attack Position "SynchROBOT" monsters, to activate and resolve this effect. You can only use this effect of "SynchROBOT Evol "Empress"" once per turn. 1 "SynchROBOT" Tuner + 1 non-Tuner Machine-Type MonsterIf all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. Once per turn, when your opponent Summons a monster(s): You can change all of them to Defense Position. 1 "SynchROBOT" Tuner + 1 non-Tuner Machine-Type MonsterIf all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. This card can attack an additional number of times during each of your Battle Phases equal to the number of Defense Position monsters your opponent controls. 1 "SynchROBOT" Tuner + 1 non-Tuner Machine-Type MonsterIf all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. Defense Position monsters your opponent controls have their effects negated. Link ( Bottom Left, Bottom Right)2 Machine-Type monstersIf all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. If this card would be destroyed, you can banish 1 Machine-Type monster from your GY instead. Once per turn, when a "SynchROBOT" monster Linked to this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent by a direct attack: Target 1 Spell or Trap Card they control, destroy it. [spoiler= Spells and Traps] When this card is activated: Change all monsters your opponent controls to face-up Defense Position. (Flip effects are not activated at this time.) When a "SynchROBOT" monster you control inflicts battle damage to your opponent by a direct attack: You can gain life points equal to half the damage they took. You can only use each effect of "SynchROBOT Heart of Gears" once per turn. All "SynchROBOT" monsters you control gain 200 ATK and DEF. You can target 1 "SynchROBOT" Synchro Monster in your GY: Special Summon it, but any battle damage it inflicts to your opponent this turn is halved. You can only use this effect of "SynchROBOT Junkyard" once per turn. Equip only to a "SynchROBOT" monster. When the equipped monster inflicts battle damage to your opponent with a direct attack, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls: Take control of that monster until the End Phase. Its effects are negated. That monster can attack in Defense Position. If it does, apply its ATK for damage calculation. When your opponent declares an attack: Special Summon 1 "SynchROBOT" monster from your Deck or GY, with 0 ATK and DEF, then change the attacking monster to Defense Position. Your opponent cannot change that monster's battle position, except by a card effect. When your opponent Sets a card, while you control a "SynchROBOT" monster: You can return that card to the hand, then your opponent cannot set Spell or Trap Cards for the rest of the turn. You can use the effect of "SynchROBOT Mechanical Eyes" once per turn. Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects when you Synchro Summon a "SynchROBOT" monster. Once per turn: You can target 1 "SynchROBOT" monster you control: That monster cannot be targeted or destroyed by your opponent's card effects this turn. shadowsapex
Yo, I'll review your cards. Along with PSCT fixes.[spoiler=Main Deck Monsters]If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. If you control a "SynchROBOT" monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Once while this card is in the Graveyard when an opponent's monster targets a "SynchROBOT" monster you control for an attack: You can negate that attack, then change that monster to Defense Position. Your opponent cannot change that monster's battle position until the End Phase. If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. If all monsters your opponent control are in Attack Position, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand), then change 1 monster your opponent controls to Defense Position.I don't think you can lump the effect to change a monster to defense position into the summoning condition there, since a summoning condition isn't an effect. It would be better to have this as an activated effect that triggers from the summon and targets, anyway. If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. This card can attack twice during each Battle Phase. If this card is used as Synchro Material for the Synchro Summon of a Machine-Type monster, that monster can attack twice during each Battle Phase.Woah woah, broken. 2000 direct damage off a main deck monster is pretty powerful, but more than that, the ability to give any machine type synchro double attacking is just too much. It turns an easily summoned synchro like Scrap Dragon or Vermillion Dragon Mech into almost 6000 damage against a clear board.Level 4 tuners in general are usually nerfed because of the high level, not super-powerful.If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. If your opponent controls more monsters than you do: You can Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "SynchROBOT AI-4 "Duke"" once per turn.Since that's a really easy summon, I would probably make this archetype-restricted in some way. It can also be used turn after turn - it'd be more typical to make an effect like this banish when it leaves the field, but I suppose an archetype restriction should also be fine.If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. When this card is Summoned: You can change 1 monster your opponent controls to Defense Position. (Flip effects are not activated at this time.) Once, while this card is in the Graveyard: You can target 2 "SynchROBOT" cards in your Graveyard; shuffle them into the Deck, then draw 1 card.If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. When this card is Summoned: You can add 1 "SynchROBOT" card from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn: You can discard 1 card, then Special Summon 1 "SynchROBOT" monster from your Deck. It cannot be used as a Material for a Summon, except for the Summon of a "SynchROBOT" monster."It can only be used" is too vague. Can it be tributed? This card needs to be prevented from summoning itself. You can get out all 3 copies at once without losing any card advantage, since the search effect just makes up for the discard. Cannot be used as a Material for a Summon, except for the Summon of a "SynchROBOT" monster.I'm assuming you want it placing itself in the s/t zone as a spell. The limitations on the summon effect probably aren't necessary. In fact it's weird how many restrictions this card has, for an effect that's not really that powerful anyway. You really gotta specify what summon it can't and can't be used for, as actual summoning restrictions list what summoning methods a card can't be used for. Can it be tributed for summons, can it be tributed in general, etc.If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. If a "SynchROBOT" Synchro Monster you control inflicts damage to your opponent by a direct attack: You can Special Summon this card from your hand in Defense Position, then destroy 1 Defense Position monster your opponent controls whose ATK and DEF is lower than the damage they took. You can only Special Summon "SynchROBOT AI-10 "Praying Mantis"" once per turn this way.[spoiler= Extra Deck Monsters]1 "SynchROBOT" Tuner + 1 non-Tuner Machine-Type monsterIf all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. While you control this face-up card, your opponent cannot banish cards. When this card inflicts damage to your opponent by a direct attack: You can shuffle 2 cards from your opponent's Graveyard into the Deck. You don't mean "1 or more non-Tuner"?1 "SynchROBOT" Tuner + 1 Level 8 "SynchROBOT" monsterIf all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. Cannot be destroyed by battle. If all monsters you control are Attack Position "SynchROBOT" monsters (min. 1), then all battle damage this card inflicts from direct attacks is doubled.Let's see… Your opponent controls no monsters. Normal Summon Heavy Artillery, search Giant, summon it. Discard any card, summon Twins with Artillery, tune Twins and Giant into this. Swing twice directly, you just got 10000 damage off one card.1 "SynchROBOT" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Machine-Type monstersIf all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. When this card is Synchro Summoned: Destroy cards your opponent controls equal to the number of "SynchROBOT" monsters in your Graveyard. You can only Summon 1 "SynchROBOT Beta "Extinction" per turn. That destruction doesn't even target. If you used That Grass is Greener with this deck, you could have a 10 card destruction effect off 1 summon. That Grass isn't really helpful for this deck, but if you summon this mid-game you could easily have 5-card destruction which is more than plenty. The non-tuner material isn't even archetype-restricted, so other machine decks can easily make it just by splashing 1 of the Synchrobot tuners. Karakuri combo decks especially can throw out Level 8 machine synchros like nothing and already otk very easily.1 "SynchROBOT" Tuner + 1 non-Tuner "SynchROBOT" monsterIf all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. Once per turn: You can draw cards equal to the number of face-up Defense Position monsters your opponent controls. You must control no monsters, except Attack Position "SynchROBOT" monsters, to activate and resolve this effect. You can only control 1 "SynchROBOT Evol "Empress"".I'd give the draw effect a once per turn; draw effects are super easy to abuse, and this deck can definitely be spammy enough for it. It's also not hard to fill your opponent's field with defense position tokens, or just Book of Eclipse all their monsters.1 "SynchROBOT" Tuner + 1 non-Tuner Machine-Type MonsterIf all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. Once per turn, when your opponent Summons a monster(s): You can change all of them to Defense Position. You might want to lower the atk points with an effect that powerful. I'd be saying this even for a monster that couldn't attack directly, too.1 "SynchROBOT" Tuner + 1 non-Tuner Machine-Type MonsterIf all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. This card can attack an additional number of times during each of your Battle Phases equal to the number of Defense Position monsters your opponent controls. It is seriously ridiculously easy for this deck to otk your opponent at this point.1 "SynchROBOT" Tuner + 1 non-Tuner Machine-Type MonsterIf all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. Defense Position monsters your opponent controls have their effects negated.Once again, with this kind of powerful effect, you might lower its ATK a bit.Link ( Bottom Left, Bottom Right)2 Machine-Type monstersIf all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. If this card would be destroyed, you can banish 1 Machine-Type monster from your Graveyard instead. When a "SynchROBOT" monster Linked to this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent by a direct attack: Destroy 1 Spell/Trap Card they control. It's actually a pretty decent generic Link for Machine decks, which I totally don't object to. I dig that. The destruction should probably target though. Maybe with a once per turn.[spoiler= Spells and Traps]You can activate this effect; change 1 monster your opponent controls to Defense Position. (Flip effects are not activated at this time.) When a "SynchROBOT" monster you control inflicts battle damage to your opponent by a direct attack: You can gain life points equal to half the damage they took. You can only use each effect of "SynchROBOT Heart of Gears" once per turn.Just added "You can activate this effect" to clarify that the first effect activates. Anyways, this card is pretty weak - only switching to defense is desireable and not only are Book of Moon, Book of Eclipse, Swords of Concealing Light, and Quaking Mirror Force all way better, chances are the main deck monsters will be able to handle that on their own. I personally see no reason why the second effect has to be hard once per turn. All "SynchROBOT" monsters you control gain 200 ATK and DEF. Once per turn: You can target 1 "SynchROBOT" Synchro Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it, but any battle damage it inflicts to your opponent this turn is halved. Now this is something that should probably have a hard once per turn. It's just really powerful. It can freely bring back either of your level 12s, put a load more damage on the field, and abuse Empress easier. And it's super searchable to boot, due to being a field.Equip only to a "SynchROBOT" monster. When the equipped monster inflicts battle damage to your opponent with a direct attack: You can take control of 1 monster your opponent controls until the End Phase. That monster can attack in Defense Position. If it does, apply its ATK for damage calculation. This has got to target, and also needs have something against you just using the monster for a summon during your MP2 (or just give it back at the end of the battle phase). Probably negate the monster's effects too. When your opponent declares an attack: Special Summon 1 "SynchROBOT" monster from your hand or Graveyard, then change the attacking monster to Defense Position. Is this a normal trap? It's too weak for a normal trap, and because of the situational activation timing and the fact that it doesn't gain advantage, people probably won't use it. It would be significant if you revived a Synchro with this, but that's what the field spell already does way better. When your opponent Sets a card, while you control a "SynchROBOT" monster: You can destroy that card, and if you do, shuffle it into the Deck instead of sending it to the Graveyard. Now this is really far too weak as a normal trap. It's worse than Dust Tornado.Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects when you Synchro Summon a "SynchROBOT" monster. Once per turn: You can target 1 "SynchROBOT" monster you control; that monster cannot be targeted or destroyed by your opponent's card effects this turn. Well, in the end, the effects aren't really that interesting. Reminds me of the Synchro decks of old, actually, with just some swarm from the hand and basic offensive effects going on. Which isn't bad; not all decks have to be super complicated. However, simply swarming from the hand leaves the deck open to being wrecked by negation or destruction due to lack of floating. Also, there really isn't enough consistency going on, or support - you have plenty of cards that just summon themselves or throw simple offensive effects at the opponent, but there's not quite enough that support the archetype as a whole, getting you resources and tying the deck together. There's basically just Heavy Artillery, who's powerful, but you have no way to get to her consistently. And I think you're gonna need some more floating to summon that Link and still get a good board up.These are some large monsters with direct attack capabilities. It might be reasonably challenging to turn all your opponent's monsters into defense mode just going with the archetype's resources, but there are also a slew of cards that turn your opponent's monsters to defense en masse. I mentioned them earlier - Book of Eclipse, Book of Moon, Swords of Concealing Light, and Quaking Mirror Force. It'd be easy for this deck to throw down a Book of Eclipse and just otk your opponent before the end phase comes. This deck is gonna otk the opponent really easily. Which, I guess if that's what you're going for, doesn't make it too broken. Especially with its lack of float effects, which basically makes it a fragile aggro deck. But if an all-out otk deck isn't what you're going for, you might want to rethink the effects.
SnowBunny
Edit: Fixed all the cards thanks to shadowliepard's review. Updated Graveyard to say GY with the release of the new cards saying that. Changed all there direct attack wording to :If all monsters your opponent controls are in Defense Position, this card can attack directly. Also, lowered all of their attacks to some degree, except Monk. For the Synchros, yes I mean only 1 non-tuner for the lv 8 monsters, so you can only use lv 4 monsters for their summon. Monk: No significant changes. Sputnik: Effect activates with it's summon now. Twins: The second attack for the Synchro monster, now does half damage. Duke: Now archetype restricted. Dragonfly: No significant changes Heavy Artillery: Now cannot Special Summon itself, with its effect. Sniper: Changed its effect to the way shadowliepard said. Took away the material restriction part. Giant: Material for summoning conditions changed to the way shadowliepard said. Praying Mantis: Changed its effect completely. Now if it is the only card in your hand, you can Special Summon it. When it is summoned by its effect, you can change 1 monster your opponent controls to defense, then add 1 "SynchROBOT" monster from your deck or GY to your hand. (the old effect didn't really help the deck all that much, so this is a way to keep a hand and speed the game a little.) Angel: No significant changes. Basilisk: No significant changes. Extinction: Changed its effect, so you have to send the top 5 cards of your deck to the GY and destroy cards up to the number of "SynchROBOT" montsers sent tot he GY by this effect. Empress: HOPT on its effect and you can control more than 1 now. Blue: No significant changes. Samurai: No significant changes. Flower: No significant changes. Shadow: Spell/Trap destruction now only once per turn. Heart of Gears: When it is activated, now changes all monsters your opponent controls to defense. Still can only use bot effects once per turn, don't want to gain 100000 lp 1 turn lol. Junkyard: HOPT on its effect now. Mechanical Wings: The effect now targets, and the opponent's monster's effects you take control of are now negated. Beginning: Does summon from hand now, but from your deck instead. Also, opponent's monster cannot change its battle position, except with a card effect. Mechanical Eyes: Now returns the set card to the hand and your opponent cannot set spells/traps for the rest of the turn. Its effect is HOPT. New Life Protection: No significant changes. shadowsapex
Heart of Gears: When it is activated, now changes all monsters your opponent controls to defense. Still can only use bot effects once per turn, don't want to gain 100000 lp 1 turn lol.Nah, you couldn't. That would require your opponent to take 200000 damage. I really think Mechanical Wings needs something to prevent the taken monster from being a material, even more so than negating the monster's effects. You could steal a monster with the card, then just leverage it into a synchro, xyz, or link summon (probably link, since you can use almost anything for one), and your opponent never gets their monster back. Aside from that, all the changes are pretty good.
