[Written] Pot of Imitations

Normal Spell Card

Effect: Target 1 "Pot of" card in your Graveyard, except "Pot of Imitations"; this card's effect becomes that target's effects. After that effect resolves, banish the top card of your Deck face-down. You can only use 1 "Pot of Imitations" per turn.

I like the concept, but IMO it should copy the costs too; otherwise it can get silly good along Pot of Desires: you don't even have to activate Desires itself to benefit from it and this card, just get Desires on the grave and then copy if with this for effectively a Pot of Greed without the banishing cost; and that can be accomplished by milling/lawnmowing decks.

You could be silly and play it on "Pot of the Forbidden" too xD

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you wouldn't have to pay the cost/s of the 'Pot' this card is copying, right? If so, I think that's pretty broken IMO (imagine using 'Pot of Desires' but without the drawback, or using 2 'Pot of Dualities' in a turn) since not only will you be able to get around paying the cost of the copied 'Pot', but the HOPT that most new 'Pot' cards have as well.

This card is fine imo

You still have You have Pot of Desires in GY for this to copy so effectively you more than likely go -1 and this card helps solve that issue.

I think you're over thinking the cards potential.

And we still have Ash Blossom and other negates and anti search cards beginning to run rampant. So a desires can die so fast.

This helps balance it.

Not because a counter(s) for a card exist it means it's fair. Otherwise we may as well give green light every monster ever, no matter how strong their effects are, because Solemn Strike and other Summon or effect negators exists; yeah, card balance doesn't work that way.

And this card would stand out in milling/lawnmowing variants that get Desires milled as consequence of their playstyle/tactics, which is what I find concerning. Also it's an easy +2 if you happen to draw both this and Desires.
