xale Posted July 31, 2017 Report Share Posted July 31, 2017 Name: Spyral, the Mythical SlayerWinged Beast/ Tuner/ Synchro/ EffectWIND2700 ATK/ 1800 DEF Text: 1 WIND tuner + 1 or more Winged Beast-Type non-tuner monster(s)When this card is summoned, you can special summon 1 Winged Beast-Type or WIND monster from your hand, deck, or graveyard. If this card is used for a synchro summon, the synchro monster that used this card becomes a Winged Beast-Type and WIND. Can this be used in "Mist Valley" decks?Please commentthanks :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~~ Posted July 31, 2017 Report Share Posted July 31, 2017 2 massive questions before I review this card.Is this considered a "SPYRAL" card? What Level is this card? Can't review a Synchro without knowing its Level. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
xale Posted July 31, 2017 Author Report Share Posted July 31, 2017 Sorry, it's level 6, and it is currently not a SPYRAL card Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~~ Posted August 1, 2017 Report Share Posted August 1, 2017 Ok, so this would see a lot of play in Dragunities. While I am not overly familiar with the deck, I do know that they pump out Level 6 Synchros like wildfire. Normal Summon Dragunity Dux and equip Dragunity Phalanx. Summon Phalanx and Synch for this card right here. From there you can Summon out any monster in your deck. You could even put in external cards such as Terrortop, but I think the deck may be better off without it. In many ways this card is just a better Gae Dearg, but it has a few notable disadvantages. First of all, it's a Tuner. This may be an advantage or a disadvantage depending on the situation, but the point is is that it certainly leaves Gae Dearg a niche. Secondly, it's thankfully not a Dragon. If it was, it'd be Summonable from the GY by Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, and get its effect off every time, which would be insane. Outside of loopy combo plays, you could use this to Summon cards such as Dark Simorgh, which is very strong going first against decks that run lots of traps. While I am pointing out the very strong aspects of this card, I do not think it is too overpowered. Dragunities are a deck that have been hit very hard by the new Link Summoning rules, and so I think this card could be safe with just a small nerf. I recommend restricting theWhen this card is summoned, you can special summon 1 Winged Beast-Type or WIND monster from your hand, deck, or graveyard. effect to have aYou can only use this effect of "Spyral, The Mythical Slayer" once per turn.clause. This will help prevent any loops. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Eshai Posted August 1, 2017 Report Share Posted August 1, 2017 (bit more proper grammar)1 WIND Tuner + 1 or more Winged-Beast non-Tuner monster(s)When this card is Special Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Winged Beast or WIND monster from your hand, Deck, or GY. If this card is used for as a Synchro Material for a Synchro Summon, the Synchro Summoned monster gains the following effect:- This card is treated as a WIND Winged-Beast monster. Like the above comment, a hard OPT might do the card good, but I would have it card OPT rather than name OPT so that Dragunities have a chance at summoning Quasar (which I would love to see). I might exclude the Deck Summoning, but that's really up to you. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
