[Written] Pot of Savings - Intended to reward decks with smaller ED

Pot of Savings
Normal Spell
If you have 5 or less cards in your Extra Deck: Target at least 5 monsters in your GY: Shuffle all of them into the Extra Deck, then draw 3 cards, also, for the rest of this turn,  you cannot Special Summon monsters, except from the Extra Deck. You can only activate 1 "Pot of Savings" per turn.

Yeah, as the thread title states, this is my attempt of a card that rewards decks that don't fill their Extra Deck, but still require Extra Deck monsters to play it. The Summon lock is to deter Extra-Deck laddering decks from overextending or being rewarded too much after recycling 5+ Extra Deck monsters and drawing 3 cards, but I'm still wary of them, hence why I'm posting the card for feedback and stuff.

Thoughts?

Changelog:

1. Now it locks ED Summons instead of Summons from hand and GY.

2. Then it locks every Summon except from the ED.

Which deck that actually uses an Extra would have less than 15 though?

That's the catch: you would have to run less than 15 and give up ED slots to benefit from this card. It's a kind of trade of ED space for draw power, not proper support for decks that don't need the ED. Of course, if you do find or design a deck that can function with a small ED while being able to spam ED monsters, then it would benefit from this.

Ok... but like what if they over extend to the point where they have 5 or less than use this as a pseudo emerald to +2?

That's where the lock on summons from hand and GY comes in, so they can't go ED-spam happy again unless the field is already full before playing this card; but yes, ED laddering decks can get out of hand with the spam, and that's why I'm still unsure of this card. Dropping the card draws to 2 is an option, but then I suspect that you may as well play Pot of Desires and use your full ED space instead.

I will limit the Summons to only from the ED for now. Or is it the ED what the card should be locking instead? xD

Ok, but especially with the addition of links to the game it's easy to dump your extra onto the board and dump that to grave to dump even more extra monsters. Stuff like Zoos empty it out pretty fast, so this is a +2 for them, easy.

Right. Although Zoos are quite ED space demanding, but that's beside the point. I better lock the Summons from the ED instead.

Realistically, you just run this in decks that use 15 EDeck slots, but that can run through them quickly, such as any Link shenanigans deck. Hopefully, you then draw into backrow or handtraps and end your combo there. Next turn you have a full extra deck and can do all sake shenanigans over again. Ridiculous card, but I think the "no SSing from hand or GY for the rest of the turn" clause saves it from being broken.

Ninja'd by EDIT: Since it now stops summons from the extra deck, I feel that this is a tiny bit stronger. Instead of only drawing into backrow and handtraps as being the good things to draw, maindeck boss monsters could also be good to draw.

Now I'm confused xD

On one hand, locking ED means you cannot keep ED laddering. On the other hand, locking monsters from hand/GY, or everything else except ED monsters for that matter, means you cannot Summon ED stuff afterwards unless the field is already loaded with monsters, but it won't stop Xyz-evolutions and Link monsters from turning into more Link monsters.

I will just go for the former. Besides, Zoos were a mistake so I shouldn't take them as example, reference, standard or whatever :v

and you can only go so far by turning Link monsters into bigger Link monsters.
