Quick-Play Spell

Target 1 Spell/Trap card on the field: Destroy any cards adjacent to it. If you targeted a face-up Spell/Trap card: It is unaffected by card effects until the end of the turn.

Couple options you have here:

  • A bit more situational than Twin Twister, but without the discard
  • OR protect 1 of your own Spell/Trap cards if it wasn't nearby anything important

Not much I can say other than it's a different kind of Spell/Trap removal that may or may not be good. Might have to try it on the duel portal.

I like the fact that it destroys the cards around the target rather than the one targeted. This would make people more aware with how they position their back-row and where they put monsters in relation to their backrow.

This could also (I'm assuming) destroy monsters that are right above the targeted card (that's considered adjacent, right?), which could potentially destroy 3 cards maximum. That's pretty strong. But if this existed, I'm sure people would spread out their cards more, which could make this not so effective.

The protection effect seems odd paired with this card, but I can see its uses; like a last-ditch effort of protecting something. It just feels so.. tacked-on, I guess. Like it's two completely different cards. It definitely does give the card more versitality, though.

Other than that, I don't really know what else to say. It's good, but kind of weird.

tl;dr I like it because it makes players more cautious about card placement and offers more variety in gameplay.

I believe adjacent is just implied to be horizontally adjacent, but if they have a monster adjacent to their Field Spell you can do something tricky.

The protection effect is honestly an idea, like the rest of the card. I figured it could also be used as a protection effect, which would influence its placement on the board, which would allow players to predict the existence of the card. I would like to change it to something more fluid but at the moment I don't have many ideas.

This is honestly a card I spent 5 minutes on just to get the idea out. If it was something I spent time on I would put [AGM] on it and put it in the AGM Generics.
