"Duck" Handtrap archetype

Duck” Archetype

 

The Duck archetype is a series of Spells, Traps, and monsters based on the hand trap mechanic. “Duck” monsters typically will fall under traditional hand trap levels ranging from level 1-3 for easy access to summon as well. Every monster also comes with an effect that activates when a card is sent to the grave for added synergy.

RubbadubDuck

Level 1 Water

Winged-Beast/Effect

During either player’s turn, you can send this card from your hand to the GY; Gain life points equal to the number of “Duck” monsters on the field times 300. While this card is face up on the field, when a card from your hand is sent from the hand to the GY by card effect, target 1 face-up monster on the field and send it to the GY, you can only activate this effect once per turn.

Level 1 Water

Winged-Beast/Effect

During either player’s turn, if your opponent adds a card(s) from their GY to their hand. You can send this card from your hand to the GY; for the rest of the turn, if your opponent adds cards to their hand, draw the same number. While this card is face up on the field, when a card from your hand is sent from the hand to the GY by card effect, return 1 Spell/Trap card on the field to the hand, you can only activate this effect once per turn.

Winged-Beast/Effect

During either player’s turn, if your opponent activates a card effect. You can send this card from your hand to the GY; Change control of one Face-up card on the field. While this card is face up on the field, when a card from your hand is sent to the GY by card effect, Change control of one Face-up card on the field you can only activate this effect once per turn.

Winged-Beast/Effect

During either player’s turn, when a card is sent from the hand to the GY due to a card effect. You can send this card from your hand to the GY; your opponent cannot activate effects from the hand until the end of this turn. While this card is face up on the field, when a card from your hand is sent to the GY by card effect, you can add 1 “Duck” card from your deck to your hand.

Level 3 Water

Winged-Beast/Effect

During your opponent’s turn, when your opponent Summons a monster, you can send this card from the hand to the GY; Target 1 monster, it cannot attack and it has its effects negated until your opponent’s End Phase. While this card is face up on the field, when a card from your hand is sent to the GY by card effect, your opponent must also send a card from the hand to the GY.

2 Duck monsters

Once per turn, during either player’s turn, when your opponent activates a card effect. You can move 1 “Duck” monster from your GY to the bottom of the deck, then negate the effect and destroy the card. When this card is destroyed and sent to the GY, you can add 1 “Duck” card from your GY to your hand.

Field Spell

Your opponent cannot negate effects from the hand. When a “Duck” monster is destroyed by card effect; Special Summon 1 “duck” monster with a level equal or less than the destroyed monster’s.

 

DeDuckable

Quick-Play

When your opponent targets a “Duck” monster for an attack, your opponent’s monster looses attack points equal to its level times 200. When a “Duck” monster would be destroyed by Battle or by card effect, you can banish this card form your GY instead.
