Armoire
[spoiler=Lore]You can only control 1 face-up "Ring of Serendipity". While equipped to a monster, apply the following effects:●The equipped monster gains 200 ATK and DEF.●If the equipped monster destroys a monster by battle: Draw 1 card.●If the equipped monster inflicts battle damage to your opponent: Draw 1 card.If this card is sent from the field to the GY: You can place 1 card from your hand to the top or bottom of the Deck; add this card to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Ring of Serendipity" once per turn. Basically, it's a generic Equip Spell that rewards the player for taking the risk of attacking with a draw. Recovers itself in a similar manner as Moon Mirror Shield except it lets you choose what to put on top/bottom while adding itself directly into your hand. Currently, I believe it to be underwhelming. I'm thinking of giving it a Draw 2 if the equipped monster destroys another monster.Edit: Updated the image and text to more clearly show that there is a potential draw 2, as ' pointed out. Eshai
I like this, specifically because It's everything that should've happened to Butterfly Dagger - Elma. It draws you cards and then can use those cards to get it back. While lingering draw power is pretty awesome, it's still a generic Equip Spell with a condition, which is inherently avoided by most players, unless you're Moon Mirror Shield in which this would be a good comparison. Any Deck that has a monster that can attack all monsters your opponent controls will probably use this. There's a reason why people teched Horn of the Phantom Beasts in Bujins, and even then that card was a Trap. Idk about giving it more support. If you are I would've made the draw effect into a search effect (which would be just about the coolest thing ever for an Equip archetype). NO. DO NOT MAKE THIS A DRAW 2. It's already recyclable draw power that can be exploited, so making it draw 2 would be pretty op. Remember people will banish the top 10 cards of their decks face-down for a draw 2. I get this isn't as immediate (since you goto MP2 after you draw) but I think being able to recycle itself is enough. Also cool artwork btw. ~~~~
You might already realise this, but with the current wording, you'd draw 2 cards if you destroyed an attack position monster by battle, 1 for the battle damage and then 1 for the destruction. They happen at separate times. I don't think that's overpowered at all though, since equip spells are considered among the weakest cards in the game, and it's nice to have some good ones. It's also battle reliant, which is another nerf to it. Yeah, just something to be aware of. I really like this card, equip spells need to be better to make them usable. This is a good first step. That's actually a lot of draw potential right there. Idk about giving it more support. I think I'll do that for another card in the future. You make a really good point about the draw 2. and coupled with your previous points for multi-attacking monster, it would be a little disastrous. Thanks for the artwork! It's not mine--I found it on one of the sources provided in the Advanced Card Designs Guide section here a while back. That makes me a little wary because of Eishi's point above, but your reasoning makes sense as well, since the draw 2 has to meet two requirements. I think I'll leave it as is--however, I'll reword it to make the effects clearer. Thank you for the feedback, guys! I love it!
