Madness Mechanics! Smash Up in Yu-Gi-Oh!

this is a more fun oreinted thing I came up with based on the smash up mechanic with the same name. I played it at camp a small while back, and it was pretty fun to do. I wanted to see if I could implement it in a unique way here

 

I have the ideas for 3 extra deck monsters, explains the specific costs below

 

Please tell me your thoughts on it 

 

Elder Byakhee

Level 2 / Divine / Fiend / 1700 ATK / 1500 DEF

Cannot be special summoned. This card can only be normal summoned while you have “Madness!” in your GY. When this card is summoned, you can either target 1 “Madness” card in your GY and add it to your hand, or add 1 “Madness” card from your deck to your hand.

 

Elder Mi-Go

Level 4 / Divine / Fiend / 2000 ATK / 1800 DEF

Cannot be special summoned. This card can only be normal summoned while you have “Madness!” in your GY. When this card is summoned, you can target 1 “Madness!” in your GY, then give your opponent a choice of the following options

  • Add this card to your opponent’s hand

  • Draw 3 cards, then discard 1 card

 

Elder Shoggoth

Level 6 / Divine / Fiend / 2500 ATK / 2200 DEF

Cannot be special summoned. This card can only be normal summoned while you control an “Elder” monster and while you have “Madness!” in your GY. This card can be normal summoned without tributing by discarding one card. When this card is summoned, you can reveal your opponent’s hand, and if you reveal a “Madness!” card by this card’s effect, add that card to your hand, then destroy one monster your opponent controls

 

Elder Being

Level 10 / Divine / Divine-Beast / 3400 ATK / 3200 DEF

Cannot be special summoned. If you have 5 or more “Madness” cards in your GY, this card can be normal summoned without tributing. When this card is summoned, you must destroy 2 monsters you control, or place this monster on the bottom of your deck. This card is unaffected by all card effects. Once per turn you can discard 1 card, then place 1 card from your GY on top of your deck. You can only control 1 “Elder Being”.

 

Ancient Elder - Cthulhu

Level 12 - Fusion / Divine / Divine-Beast

4000 ATK / 4000 DEF

3 “Elder” monsters with different names

Cannot be special summoned, except by by fusion summoned. A fusion summon of this card can only be conducted by banishing the above materials from your field or GY ( you do not use polymerization ). This card cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects. Once per turn, you can target up to 5 “Madness” cards in your GY. Add them to either you or your opponent’s hand. For every card you give your opponent by this effect, you can draw 1 card. If this card leaves the field, target up to 3 banished “Elder” monsters with different names, special summon them to your field, ignoring their summoning conditions.

 

Madness!

Spell - Normal

Activate if you have 3 cards or less in your extra deck; Draw 2 cards from your deck. During the turn you activate this card, you cannot summon monsters, except for “Elder” monsters. If this card is in your GY, your opponent cannot lose the duel, even if their lifepoints go to 0. Once per turn, except the turn this card was sent to the GY, you can target all “Madness!” cards in your GY, shuffle them into your deck, then your opponent gains 8000 lifepoints. You cannot activate other spell cards during the turn you activate this effect. You can only use each effect of “Madness!” once per turn

 

Domain of the Elder’s Creation

Spell - Field

Once per turn, if you summon an “Elder” monster, you can do an additional normal summon this turn. You can target up to 3 “Madness” cards in your GY, and if you do, shuffle those into your deck, then draw 1 card for every card returned by this effect. You can only activate 1 “Domain of the Elder’s Creation” per turn.

 

The Madness Begins

Spell - Normal

Discard 1 “Madness!” card, draw 3 cards. If an effect in your GY would prevent you from activating card effects while you have 3 or less cards in your extra deck, you can banish this card from your GY; negate that effect, then shuffle that card and all cards with the same name as that card into your deck. You can only use each effect of “The Madness Begins” once per turn.

 

The Essence of Madness

Spell - Normal

Add 1 “Madness” card from your GY to both you and your opponent’s hand. After you do that, you may draw a card. If an effect in your GY would prevent you from activating card effects while you have 3 or less cards in your extra deck, you can banish this card from your GY; negate that effect, then shuffle that card and all cards with the same name as that card into your deck. You can only use each effect of “The Essence of Madness” once per turn.

 

The Heights of Madness

Trap - Normal

Target any number of “Madness” cards in your GY; Add them to your opponent’s hand or GY. If an effect in your GY would prevent you from activating card effects while you have 3 or less cards in your extra deck, you can banish this card from your GY; negate that effect, then shuffle that card and all cards with the same name as that card into your deck. You can only use each effect of “The Heights of Madness” once per turn.

 

The Price of Madness

Trap - Normal

During damage calculation, if your opponent’s monster battles an “Elder” monster you control, you can shuffle any number of “Madness” spells and traps from your GY into your deck, and if you do, all “Elder” monsters you control gain 200 attack and defense for every card returned by this card’s effect. You can only activate 1 “The Price of Madness” per turn

I actually really like this idea of card. Give yourself avantage but also giving your opponent a large advantage. I am very much a fan of creating cards that don't add new rules, but add new was to play, and this card does it perfectly. Now, obviously, Madness! will most likely become broken in some way, but I very much appreciate the design, and a series of cards like this would be amazing! Keep up the good work!
