Field Spell Card

Effect: During each player's Standby Phase: Both players reveal their hand. Once per turn: The turn player can pay 1000 LP; add 1 Normal Trap Card from their Deck to their hand, but that player cannot activate Trap Cards with different names than that added card until the end of their opponent's turn. If neither player controls a Set Spell/Trap Card, negate this card's effects.

 

This is a Field Spell Card that makes player's reveal their hand during each Standby Phase. Like Chicken Game, this card let's both players benefits from the Field Spell Card but it also lets both player's know what is going to happen. You can use shenanigans like "Mind Crush" with this card and devastate hands. However, if you activate it, you cannot use other Trap Cards with different names for one whole turn.

Inspection Day

During each player's Standby Phase: Both players reveal their hand. I would make it so it reveals SET Spell/Traps rather than your hand. Feel that would make more sense in the context that after revealing your hand the cards you Set aren’t technically public knowledge and that would be weird.

 

Once per turn: The turn player can pay 1000 LP; add 1 Normal Trap Card from their Deck to their hand, but that player cannot activate Trap Cards with different names than that added card until the end of their opponent's turn. These next sentences probably proves you’re getting better at this because you’re making it really hard for me to figure out whether or not this needs to be a hard OPT, which it doesn’t. If you activate another Inspection Day on top of this after searching, you get 2 Normal Traps but at the cost at not being able to play any of them for quite a while. This kind of subtlety is always fun to see on cards and I hope to see you use it to even greater effects.

 

If neither player controls a Set Spell/Trap Card, negate this card's effects. Nice touch. If you don’t have another card to Set you can’t search out for Traps, which isn’t all that necessary but you might need this restriction specifically so it’s a small bit harder to search with such a wide pool of cards with this effect.

 

Solid card with a lot of combo potential with the Bait Doll style cards I made. I’m pretty sure there isn’t an FTK, but there might be eventually with this card’s existence so we’ll have to see.

 

I would add to the tag of the post “DPR Generics” so we can keep all of them in the same search result, and then maybe add the name of the card and “Field Spell” to further our ability to search out the cards we make in the YCM.
