N00B Hunter
I was playing a while ago (1/2 an hour, maybe?) and I got into this fight with someone, the conflict arose of this:he played Heavy StormI chained to Heavy Storm with MSTHe told me Heavy Storm doesn't get negated that wayI think it does! In a chain, first MST would have resolved, destroying heavy storm! is this true? If not (or if so), please explain! It would help a lot! Please don't post unless you've got something useful to say.. plz.. Thanks!
Guest
You're wrong. MST does not say "negate". It is not a Counter Trap. Heavy Storm is not Continuous. Learn to play.
J-Max
Many times I have tried to counter Heavy with MST The simple awnswer is no. Also Mirror Force isn't negated by MST Either. MST is mostly useful for taking out Continuous Spells, Equip Spells and Continuous Traps.
N00B Hunter
ahh... so do the rules say that? (thank you crab helmet. I'm trying to learn how to play. And if you'd so kind as to help me, I would be very grateful)
J-Max
MST is not a Counter Card. It can only take out cards that have been on the field for more then a Turn, It can't be used to counter something like Solemn Judgement for example, I'm not 100% Sure on the Spell Speed of this MST. Guest
MST, like all Quick-Play Spells, is Spell Speed 2.
N00B Hunter
alright, i see that. So are continuous traps, normal traps, and monsters with multitrigger effects... what does that mean? heavy storm is spell speed one... so MST would destroy it and then Heavy Storm wouldn't be on the field to use its effect because it's been sent top the Grave! (that's me outlook on it..)

(that's me outlook on it..)[/quote'] No, Heavy Storm has already been activated; its effect has been placed on the chain. That effect will resolve unless it is negated, and MST does not negate; it merely destroys.

J-Max
Negate includes the Trap Card "Magic Jammer" and a few other cards (Mostly Traps)
Guest
Magic Jammer isn't the best choice for spell negation. Solemn Judgment, Dark Bribe, and Magic Drain are all better.~ L O C K E D ~
