ABC Gun
Artwork for this card done by https://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=4740586 please support them when you canSales Steal (Equip Spell Card)Activate this card while you control no monsters. Look at your opponent's hand, and if they have any monsters in their hand that can be Normal Summoned/Set; Special Summon 1 of them to your field in Attack Position, and equip it with this card, and your opponent draws 2 cards. The equipped monster cannot attack directly, or be Tributed or used as material. If this face-up card on the field is destroyed by a card effect, give control of the equipped monster to your opponent. During your opponent's End Phase: Give control of the equipped monster to your opponent. You can only activate 1 "Sales Steal" per turn. For those of you old enough to remember the days when Snatch Steal was considered game-breaking and every other Deck ran at least 1 copy of it, then get ready for a more modernized approach with its new "sister" card. This card lets you peek at your opponent's hand so you can steal a monster of theirs that can be Normal Summoned/Set, but even if you can't do that for some reason (Infernoids), you could just get a free look at their hand so you can plan your plays better but then they would still get 2 free cards off of you so be careful. The best time to play this is when you know of at least 1 monster that is in your opponent's hand, and even better than that if you're also in a mirror match with your opponent as this card could potentially give you an extra copy of card you already have in your Deck to help further your strategy and make your combos faster and give you more pluses, except those that involve Tribute Summoning or Special Summoning from the Extra Deck. Caution, during your opponent's End Phase, they get to have back the monster you "stole" from them but this does not apply both ways, or simply if your opponent has had enough of you they could just destroy this card so they can get back their monster that way, and if they do so as part of chain because of that monster's effect then it would resolve under your opponent and they get that effect, not you. Black D'Sceptyr
I would like a bit of specification on the lingering effect of this card's destruction effect. Like, is control of the card given to its owner's opponent (your owner's opponent, so essentially you, so it's redundant in the last control-trading effect) or its controller's (meaning it becomes a hot-potato control card that you have an interest in combo destroying; a Mark of the Rose with benefits, essentially. But I do think it should still let your opponent draw 1 to replace the card they lost, especially since you've put unprecedented control and disruption (imagine using this to take out a Master Peace or Kozmo Bank Dank Dark Destroyer in an opponent's opening hand.) And even then, yeah, that's easy resources for the first-turn player to Link into. Essentially, a Master Rule ago, I'd be saying "this is fine, Lullaby of Obedience does the same, this will be limited at worst and there'll be Decks that are wholly immune to it anyways (Spirit, Timelord, Chain Beat, Barrier Statue). Now with 4 in play and Links to abuse the privilege of snatching a monster from your opponent? Of course, an effect to keep you from Summoning from the Extra Deck while this card is on the field could go far here too. Think the concept of it is good, even if the execution of it makes me wonder who got this card join a dojo for it go around breaking so many boards with impunity. Cool-this actually looks like it could be some nice Trickstar tech, to help them play prevent defense and help with their versatility (which even now the Trickstars are lacking in) and set up an opponent's hand for more damage output with your Lycoris plays. This usage on the first turn adds 400 more damage to Lycoris's first turn usage with Reincarnation-600 with Lightstage, 1200 with a Dark Room. (in case it's not obvious I've loved seeing Trickstars evolve as a new twist of burn-as-control, and seeing the synergy this card still has with it gives a new dimension of though to its creativity-and that of the person who made it. In short, megakudos, mate) And don't worry, now this card is strictly disruption instead of being potential ladder fodder and disruption-it's more tolerable for it. Sure, a card snatched with this is one more they can't marshal against you on their turn, but it's still based on chance, one that drops drastically if they go first and empty the hand by some combo method (coughCardofDemisecough) and now you can't directly use it to forward your own strategies either. Now this card reminds me of a powercreeped Mind Control, more used to put crucial pieces of a combo out of the opponent's hand and/or out of your way, but at the speed which doesn't rely on that monster being on the field for it to utilize its power. It's perfect, though I still fear it'll be limited if it ever hit a meta. Still though, so's Maxx "C" and every Dueilst I play seems to get it on their first turn (deckthinning's really hampered the power of the limits and semi-limits on the list-and surprisingly enough, Pot of Desires put it back up to size). So this'll probably see more play than it normally should, but less than it deserves. Because it's a work of art n' so are you. BDS, signing off. Thank you for telling me what was wrong so I could fix that.
