Perry Ellis.
Archetype Summary: Welcome to Whitfield Penitentiary, we house the crulest and most dangerous criminals here. Here at Whitfield, we are known for our life sentences and pride ourselves on being able to stop anyone from escaping our yard. You best watch out, if you try to help our prisoners, theres no telling what we’ll do to ya! Archetype Description: Whitfield Pen. Is an archetype based on the idea of trading in linked monster zones for powerful effects. Watch as more and more criminals try to escape, stronger and stronger jailers will appear to stop them in their tracks! [spoiler= Main Deck Monsters]Whitfield Pen. Solitary Confiner4* DarkFiend/EffectYou can Special Summon this card to your opponent’s field. You can only use this effect once per turn. This card cannot be used as a material for a Link Summon except for “Whitfield Pen.“ monsters. If this card is summoned to a monster zone that a Link monster is pointing to, it gains the following effect:The controller of this card can only special summon 1 monster per turn while this card is face up. If this card is sent from the field to the GY, you can add 1 “Whitfield Pen.” card from your deck to your hand. You can only use this effect once per turn. 0/0 Writer’s Note: I tried to make Confiner’s effect fit his name. Confiner’s effect limits the amount of times your opponent (or you) can Special Summon in a turn. Whitfield Pen. Chain Gang4* DarkFiend/EffectYou can Special Summon this card to your opponent’s field. You can only use this effect once per turn. This card cannot be used as a material for a Link Summon except for “Whitfield Pen.“ monsters. If this card is summoned to a monster zone that a Link monster is pointing to, it gains the following effect:The controller of this card can only attack with 1 monster per turn while this card is face-up. If this card is sent from the field to the GY, you can add 1 “Whitfield Pen.” card from your deck to your hand. You can only use this effect once per turn. 0/0 Writer’s Note: Again trying to stick with the name fitting the effect theme, Chain Gang makes it hard for your opponent to attack you. Whitfield Pen. Jail Bird4* DarkFiend/EffectYou can Special Summon this card to your opponent’s field. You can only use this effect once per turn. This card cannot be used as a material for a Link Summon except for “Whitfield Pen.“ monsters. If this card is summoned to a monster zone that a Link monster is pointing to, it gains the following effect:The controller of this card must discard 1 card from their hand in order to activate monster effects. If this card is sent from the field to the GY, you can add 1 “Whitfield Pen.” card from your deck to your hand. You can only use this effect once per turn. 0/0Writer’s Note: Jail bird helps restrict your opponent by attaching a cost requirement to all effects. [spoiler=Extra Deck Monsters]Whitfield Pen. ImplrDark Link 1UFairy/Link/Effect1 Dark monsterMonsters that this card points to can be used for the Link Summon of a “Whitfield Pen.” monster. This card cannot be destroyed by card effects while it points to another card. Once per turn during either player’s turn, when your opponent activates a Spell/Trap card; you can tribute 1 card that this card points, negate the activation and if you do, destroy that card.1050 Writer’s Note: Implr is the spell/trap negator for the archetype, since its like arrow up (the archetypical trend) I thought it would be ok to give it a powerful effect like being able to use your opponent’s monster’s for link summons and spell/trap negation. Whitfield Pen. DesignatrDark Link 2UR/ULFairy/Link/Effect2 Fiend monstersMonsters that this card points to can be used for the Link Summon of a “Whitfield Pen.” monster. This card cannot be targeted by card effects and cannot be destroyed battle while it points to another card. Once per turn during either player’s turn, when your opponent activates a monster effect; you can tribute 1 card this card points to, negate the activation and if you do, destroy that card. 1750 Writer’s Note: Designatr is the monster effect negator, this is where the archetype begins to shine, showing how not tony can they control your opponent’s field but also take up multiple monster zones. Whitfield Pen. SubjectrDark Link 3UR/U/ULFairy/Link/Effect2+ Fiend monstersThis card is unaffected by card effects and cannot be destroyed by battle while it points to another card. Once per turn during either player’s turn, when your opponent Special Summons a monster(s), you can tribute 1 face up card this card points to, negate the summon and if you do, banish that monster. When this card is sent from the field to the GY, add 2 “Whitfield Pen.” Cards to your hand. 2450 Writer’s Note: Subjectr, the Ace monster, really shows off what the archetype can do. It takes up 3 of your opponent’s zones and can negate special summons.
