Charlelot
Hey everyone, I’ve only got a small update for today. Recently, I was looking at the new Ojama support from the Duelist Pack: Legend Duelist 2 and it got me to think about the times I was trolling my friends when using the old Ojama cards. For some reason, I started messing around with a few ideas for making the Ojamas a little better for the future. This is the result. I don’t really know if I will revisit this archetype later on, but who knows, I might get inspired again in a few days. In any case, I thought I would still post this collection of silly ideas and see what happens. As always, have a read and tell me what you think. *Latest Update* 02/07/2018 [spoiler=Monster Cards:'']Ojama GreyLevel 2 LIGHT Beast/EffectATK 0 DEF 1000When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can send 1 ‘’Ojama’’ card from your hand or Deck to the GY. Dova
Ojama Grey does too much, methinks. Not only does it grant an SS from the Deck, but it gives you two effects to choose from. I would suggest going with one or the other for the latter (I prefer the send from the Deck to the GY) I really want to put HOPT on the first effect regardless, but not only would that go against the simplicity of Ojamas, but it might not even need it. Ojamantle is basic field protection, and really fits in with the hand advantage theme. I do love it, against my better judgement (so much drawing), although for maximum protection, the last effect should probably specify card(s) to allow for if one or more cards would be destroyed, like with Raigeki or something similar. Shame you didn't call Ojama March Ojamarch, but your call. Again, this is one is hard to properly gauge, but it might not be too strong. The only real problem is if you get out more than 1 Ojama Normal Monster, and I think that takes up too much effort to be a threat. I have nothing but praise for Princess. It makes Red so much more playable, and instantly ladders into Knight, and maybe even King. The protection and draw power is just a beautiful sweetener. Again, another great set. It strays so close to being too powerful, with the first card just generically solving all of the decks problems, but with a nerf here and there, your creativity will save the day again. Those cards were originally meant to support pure Ojama Builds and after watching a few Youtube videos on the new support, I came to the conclusion that the cards I made are too powerful. So, I changed a few things to balance the archetype. Oh, and concerning Ojama March’s name, the original intent was to call it Ojamarch but I thought that the pronunciation was a little bit weird. That being said, I’ll change it back. After all, it wasn’t too far to begin with.
