Two new TCG cards in Light of Destruction.

Recommended Posts

LODT-EN081

Aurkus, Lightsworn Druid

LIGHT/Beast-Warrior-Effect/3/1200/1800

"Lightsworn" monsters cannot be targeted by effects. During each of your end phases, send the top 3 cards from your deck to the graveyard.

Super Rare

LODT-EN088

Super-Ancient Dinobeast

EARTH/Dinosaur-Effect/8/2700/1400?

You can tribute summon this card in face-up attack position by tributing one dinosaur-type monster. When a dinosaur-type monster is special summoned from your graveyard, you can draw one card.

Aurkus is meh, but Dinobeast gives a good weapon to Dino decks. Discuss.

And old cards confirmed from release as well are...

Helios Trice Megistus

Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo

Divine Knight Ishzark

Fog King

Holy God, a dinosaur. Name sucks, but it's a Dinosaur, so it kinda negates the bad naming.

Hypothetically, 3 CoSR + 3 Dino... lol.

Don't really get the point of Arcus. The win card in Lightlords is Judgment Dragon, and that doesn't really need to worry about S/T when going in for the kill...

You still need more Lightlords in your deck, and this guy helps at some times. Especially if you're running a beatdown strategy with the Lightlords.

There are plenty of Lightlords already. YOu don't need to run this to have enough of them.

That being said, this card does serve a purpose. It helps protect a final swing from being disrupted. You don't want your opponent to chain Solemn when you summon Judgment Dragon. However, Lyla does this job fine already, so he isn't really necessary.

You'll have to worry about the fact that most chainable cards don't target anyway.

Oh whoops, I missed the targeting part. Yeah, he's mostly useless. (Though I can think of quite a few chainables that target: Book of Moon, Enemy Controller, and Raigeki Break just to name a few.)
