It appears that UDE is loosening up a little...

Lol. Why censor things anyway? Not much of a difference (except in the case of water omotics, ect)

Religious nutcases already hate this game enough already, like a cross or hexagram will do much more damage? My dad hates it because they used David's star on the seal of orichalcos (lol he watched the show a while). For some reason he connects that to evil whatever, and dislikes jews for using it for their symbol. My dad, a nazi? maybe. Nutcase, definitely.

(he also thinks the triforce is david's star in disguise XD)

Is he blind? The Seal of Orichalcos isn't a Star of David; it's a Unicursal Hexagram.

Lol. Satanic Pentagrams? There are no satanic pentagrams. There are pentagrams. The pentagram was originally used as a symbol of Goddess worship, and after the Christian Church carried out a smear campaign against Pagan Goddess worship proclaiming it "Satanic", Satanic cults formed, stealing the pentagram from the goddess worshippers.

There's nothing wrong with an upside-down cross.

Lightsworn sounds more religious than Lightlord, if you asked me.

Aparrently I read a wrong website then, lol. I also read that an upside down cross is a symbol of Satanism.

Anyways, hopefully UDE loosens up.

believe me, satan doesn't give a s****t about inverted crosses and that... symbols are what people want to see... the nazi's svastica is in fact a symbol very used in the past from the celtics... also the korean army used that symbol on their infantry...

but obviously, konami doesn't want troubles with parent's associations so theychanged anythig that represents religion or sadism or sex... but evil is on people's mind, not on some bunch of cardboards...

imagies are only as evil as you belive them to be if you belive a F****** star is evil then you evil, and a total nutcase, but then most american mums are

if you belive its a star that works well for symbols in a story PURLY for effect then thats what they are, but then that IS what they are

Also, about loosening up, Duelist Genesis has been announced on ShriekTCG, and the name has not been changed, though its an obvious allusion to the bible.

the OCG card art is green.

Because the set clearly has religious undertones and "genesis" is never used except when referring to the bible, right?

I don't mean it has to be the bible. But generally, people would think it is an allusion to the bible. The hexagram is also a symbol used in German taverns, but when one sees a Hexagram, initial thought is of Judaism. Same with the word Genesis.

Also, a Lightsworn DRUID monster is coming out. Druidism is religious.

You're wrong.

Though you are correct that the pentagram was originally a Wiccan symbol, it was actually adopted by Christianity positively. It is a good thing, like the cross. Satanism adopted the inverted pentagram both because it shows oppositionalism and because an inverted pentagram looks sort of like a demon's head. Look it up online, the Satanic pentagrams generally have demonic features drawn in.

Inverted crosses are also considered evil. But to me, a symbol only has the meaning that you let it have. Who cares?
