Which is better, return or destroy

Recommended Posts

for a nomi or high-power monster,it is the best to return & then neutralise its summoning (eg. use grand mole to return red eyes darkness dragon to hand,then remove red eyes B.dragon from play)

as for the rest,beat the stuffings out of them!!!

In my opinion, that last part isn't needed. Returning him is enough.

However, you can always use The Transmigration Prophecy/D.D. Crow.

If the monster isn't Cydra, returning is halariously annoying. But destroying usually preserves an advantage and that is what this game is focused on. Of course there are several exceptions and scenarios to argue with.

All in all, I agree with spinning beating both since the next card your opponent draws is usually useless(AKA Dead draw). Practically return and skipping the next draw phase is painful for most decks.

Bounce = Return to hand

Spin = Return to top of deck

Destroy = Send to graveyard

This topic is destroy vs bounce, and destroy is always better than bounce. Even something like Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon is better in the hand than the grave, since it can be discarded for a cost or something like that.

Likewise, spin is also always better than destroy. This is just common sense.

In the current meta, destroy is better than spin, since this is the format where half the deck is drawn each turn; clogging one draw isn't going to do much, and it would be better to stop the opponent from accessing the card in question, especially if it is something like DAD. That's why Raigeki Break is now more popular than PWWB.
