Cless Alvein
Ok heres the thing, Which do you guys (and gals) think is better? Gladiator Beasts or Six Samurai Cause I made both a Six Samurai and a Gladiator Beast deck I dont really know which is better because both of them seem like balanced decks
Jesus
Six Samurai. They have devistating effects. For example, Great Shogun Shien has a Spell and Trap card Lockdown. Irou is like Mystic Swordsman LV 2 only it can fend for it's self because of it's high Attack Points.
Captain Corned Beef
Screw Six samurais, just think they are worthless on their own, although they die for eackother lightning vortex and mirror force shuts them up for good. I use gladiators, Heralklinos negates card effects and destroys them just by discarding 1 card and he's fusion summoned by returning gladiators to the deck, at the end of the battle phase after he attacks you can special summon 3 more gladiators! I love gladiators!! Six samurais are my least favourite deck.
NeoPaladin2008
six sam is much faster than gladbeasts, and cheaper.yaichi + grandmaster + shiendrawing 2-6 cards with united along the way.
JesusofChaos™
Glad beasts are now better due to their contact fusions. But it is close, i run six samurais and with a few good topdecks they can be unstoppable
NeoPaladin2008
yeah but with gladbeasts you usually have to wait till turn 2 to fuse them. six sam is just point, swish, swish, boom, game.
Aesirson
This is a good strategy with Gladiator Beast: Set Hoplumos, opponent attacks it.If it's not detsroyed, special summon Spartacus (I know you think he's bad, but he isn't!). Search your deck for Battle Manica with his effect. Pwn random monster on opponents side. Special summon Secutor. Equip with Manica.Wait untill he battles and summon Murmillo and Laquari. Murmillo DestroysRandom monster on opponents side of the field. Summon Heraklinos. Total Overkill! But I think you shall use the deck that fits just you! What deck do you think is the best? GB:+ Devasting effects+ Often high ATK/DEF+ Good support cards (Chariot, Parry, Disarm etc)- Slow- You need to Special Summon them to activate theire effects. SS:+ Devasting effects+ Good Support+ Grandmaster and other mega monsters- Often low ATK/DEF- Get's screwed if they are alone They have the same amount of Pros and Cons, but I preffer GBs. Mr. Judgment Dragon
I agree with Chaos Pudding. Glad Beasts are better. They also dont have as many weak points. Heraklinos > Shien. More ATK and better Spell and Trap Lockdown ability and relatively easy to summon with the right support.
Wyhe
Glad Beasts rely on summoning each other from the deck, making discard strategies irrelevant. Also, they provide a good mix of beatdown, control & toolbox here.
Benraino
Gladiator Beasts. With them you can run "Permisson Control" with Herkalinos. Sure they are "slow" but Paul Levitin showed that Gladiator Beasts can be good. This doesn't mean Six Samurai are bad; they aren't. However I think that Six Samurai relies more on good hands, something which Six Samurai United helps prevent. Plus you can side better into Six Samurais than Gladiator Beasts. ~ P O L A R I S ~
I'd have to say Samurais, I'll admit Gladiators have some nice moves, but SS United plus the swarm power is just priceless. Also, let's not forget that Samurais also won a recent SJC championship. Great Shogun Shien is just so good, he has 3 great effects, especially the 1 S/T per turn thing, set a Dark Bribe/Solemn+Shien and your opponent can't use any S/Ts. Guest
1. Wrong board.2. There's already a topic comparing these two themes on the TCG board.3. Gladiator Beasts. In addition to being the ultimate toolbox, they have Kaiseris, Heraklinos, and Chariot. Anyone who finds them slow is playing them wrong.~ L O C K E D ~
