Charmers Retrained - 20/20 [Written]

For the basic Charmers, I just made their effect work when they are summoned in any way and gave them some protection afterwards. Hopefully speeds them up and is also thematic - their familiars protect them.

 

Edit: I'm sorry. I tried to put the Charmers, Familiar Possesed and reworked Spiritual arts in separate boxes because I figured people wouldn't want to scroll through all of them once they got the basic formula but instead it nested them all together. I'd appreciate if someone could help me fix this.

 

Elemental Charmer Dharc - DARK Spellcaster **** 500/1500

When this card is summoned: take control of 1 DARK monster face up your opponent controls. While you control another DARK monster besides "Elemental Charmer Dharc"; this card cannot be targeted for an attack or by your opponent's card effects.

 

Elemental Charmer Aussa - EARTH Spellcaster **** 500/1500

When this card is summoned: take control of 1 EARTH monster face up your opponent controls. While you control another EARTH monster besides "Elementary Charmer Aussa"; this card cannot be targeted for an attack or by your opponent's card effects.

 

Elemental Charmer Hiita - FIRE Spellcaster **** 500/1500

When this card is summoned: take control of 1 FIRE monster face up your opponent controls. While you control another FIRE monster besides "Elemental Charmer Hiita"; this card cannot be targeted for an attack or by your opponent's card effects.

 

Elemental Charmer Wynn - WIND Spellcaster **** 500/1500

When this card is summoned: take control of 1 WIND monster face up your opponent controls. While you control another WIND monster besides "Elemental Charmer Wynn"; this card cannot be targeted for an attack or by your opponent's card effects.

 

Elemental Charmer Eria - WATER Spellcaster **** 500/1500

When this card is summoned: take control of 1 WATER monster face up your opponent controls. While you control another WATER monster besides "Elemental Charmer Eria"; this card cannot be targeted for an attack or by your opponent's card effects.

 

Elemental Charmer Lyna - LIGHT Spellcaster **** 500/1500

When this card is summoned: take control of 1 LIGHT monster face up your opponent controls. While you control another LIGHT monster besides "Elemental Charmer Lyna"; this card cannot be targeted for an attack or by your opponent's card effects.

 

The familiar possesed monsters are beefed up and made into Link monsters. The idea is they are possessed by the monster they took control of - so their ATK should be dependent on the power of that monster. They all have a powerful effect based on their Spiritual Arts and an attacking effect and add special summon their Charmers from the GY when destroyed - the possession has been exorcised.

"Elemental Charmer Dharc" + 1 other monster

This card’s original ATK is equal to the total ATK of its Link materials. If the other monster used to summon this card besides "Elemental Charmer Dharc" was a DARK monster that originally belonged to your opponent; this card gains the following effect:

·    This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each but can’t attack directly. When this card destroys a monster in battle; draw 1 card.

When this card is destroyed in battle or by your opponent's card effect; Special Summon 1 "Elemental Charmer Dharc" to 1 zone this card points to from your GY if possible.

 

Familiar Possessed Avalanching Aussa - EARTH Link Spellcaster ?/Link Rating-2

"Elemental Charmer Aussa" + 1 other monster

This card’s original ATK is equal to the total ATK of its Link materials. If the other monster used to summon this card besides "Elemental Charmer Aussa" was an EARTH monster that originally belonged to your opponent; this card gains the following effect:

·   If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. This card inflicts piercing damage.

When this card is destroyed in battle or by your opponent's card effect; Special Summon 1 "Elemental Charmer Aussa" to 1 zone this card points to from your GY if possible.

 

 Familiar Possessed Blazing Hiita - FIRE Link Spellcaster ?/Link Rating-2

"Elemental Charmer Hiita " + 1 other monster

This card’s original ATK is equal to the total ATK of its Link materials. If the other monster used to summon this card besides "Elemental Charmer Hiita " was a FIRE monster that originally belonged to your opponent; this card gains the following effect:

·       This monster cannot be destroyed by card effects. When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster.

When this card is destroyed in battle or by your opponent's card effect; Special Summon 1 "Elemental Charmer Hiita" to 1 zone this card points to from your GY if possible.

 

 Familiar Possessed Storming Wynn - WIND Link Spellcaster ?/Link Rating-2

"Elemental Charmer Wynn" + 1 other monster

This card’s original ATK is equal to the total ATK of its Link materials. If the other monster used to summon this card besides "Elemental Charmer Wynn" was a WIND monster that originally belonged to your opponent; this card gains the following effect:

·       You can halve this monsters ATK until the End Phase of this turn: this card can ATK directly. If this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent; return 1 card they control to their hand.

When this card is destroyed in battle or by your opponent's card effect; Special Summon 1 "Elemental Charmer Wynn" to 1 zone this card points to from your GY if possible.

 

 Familiar Possessed Raging Eria - WATER Link Spellcaster ?/Link Rating-2

"Elemental Charmer Eria" + 1 other monster

This card’s original ATK is equal to the total ATK of its Link materials. If the other monster used to summon this card besides "Elemental Charmer Eria" was a WATER monster that originally belonged to your opponent; this card gains the following effect:

·  Reduce the ATK of 1 monster your opponent controls to 0. If that monster is sent to the GY this turn: discard 1 card at random from your opponent’s hand. This effect can only be activated once per turn.

When this card is destroyed in battle or by your opponent's card effect; Special Summon 1 "Elemental Charmer Eria" to 1 zone this card points to from your GY if possible.

 

Familiar Possessed Blinding Lyna - LIGHT Link Spellcaster ?/Link Rating-2

"Elemental Charmer Lyna" + 1 other monster

This card’s original ATK and DEF is equal to the total ATK and DEF of its Link materials. If the other monster used to summon this card besides "Elemental Charmer Lyna" was an EARTH monster that originally belonged to your opponent; this card gains the following effect:

·       Destroy any monster this card attacks without applying battle damage. Then gain life points equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster.

When this card is destroyed in battle or by your opponent's card effect; Special Summon 1 "Elemental Charmer Lyna" to 1 zone this card points to from your GY if possible.

 

Main changes to the Spiritual Arts is that they've been renamed for ease of searching purposes in English and they can be activated from the hand while you control a Charmer or their boss. I also changed Earth's and Light's effects.

 

Elemental Charm 101: Dark – Normal Trap

Tribute 1 DARK monster: Draw 2 cards. If you control an “Elementary Charm” monster; you can activate this card from your hand.

 

Elemental Charm 101: Earth – Normal Trap

Tribute 1 EARTH monster: Target 1 monster your opponent controls with less ATK points than that monster’s DEF points; destroy it. If you control an “Elementary Charm” monster; you can activate this card from your hand.

 

Elemental Charm 101: Fire – Normal Trap

Tribute 1 FIRE monster: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster’s ATK points. If you control an “Elementary Charm” monster; you can activate this card from your hand.

 

Elemental Charm 101: Wind – Normal Trap

Tribute 1 WIND monster: target 1 Spell/Trap your opponent controls; place it on the bottom of their deck. If you control an “Elementary Charm” monster; you can activate this card from your hand.

 

Elemental Charm 101: Water – Normal Trap

Tribute 1 WATER monster: Look at your opponent’s hand and send 1 card in it to the GY. If you control an “Elementary Charm” monster; you can activate this card from your hand.

 

Elemental Charm 101: Light– Normal Trap

Tribute 1 LIGHT monster: gain Life points equal to that monster’s ATK points. If you control an “Elementary Charm” monster; you can activate this card from your hand.

 

And now for the field spell and boss. I knew I wanted variable effects based on how many Attributes there are but 6 effects are a lot to balance so let me know how I did and what order you think they should be in if wrong.

 

Elementary Charm School – Field Spell.

This card gains the following effects based on how many attributes are represented in monsters on the field and in your GY:

1+    Increase the ATK and DEF of all “Elementary Charm” monsters by 200 for each attribute represented on your field and in your GY.

2+    You can Normal Summon 1 “Elementary Charm” monster each turn in addition to your regular Normal Summon.

3+    Reveal one monster card in your hand: 1 monster your opponent controls becomes that attribute until your End Phase.

4+    Target 1 monster face up on your opponent’s side of the field that shares its Attribute with at least one “Elementary Charm” monster you control: take control of that monster.

5+   Each Standby Phase: reveal 1 “Elementary Charm” Spell or trap besides "Elemental Charm School" in your deck to your opponent and add it to your hand.

6+   Special Summon 1 “Elementary Charmistress Doriado” from your Extra Deck and attach up to 6 “Elementary Charm” monsters with different attributes from your field or GY to it as XYZ material.

The second through sixth effects of "Elementary Charm School" can only be activated once per turn.

 

Elementary Charmistress Doriado – Light Spellcaster XYZ Rank 4; ?/?

2+ Level 4 Spellcasters each of different Attributes

The Attribute of this card is also treated as the Attributes of all its materials while it is face-up on the field. This card gains the following effects based on how many Attributes it has:

1.     Its original ATK  and DEF is always equal to the number of Attributes it is treated as x 500.

2.     If a card would require you to tribute a monster of a specific Attribute you can remove 1 material from this card of that Attribute instead.

3.     Attach 1 “Elementary Charm” monster or 1 monster you control that originally belonged to your opponent to this card as an XYZ material.

4.     Remove 1 material from this card: take control of 1 monster your opponent controls of the same attribute.

5.     Your opponent's monsters that share Attributes with this card can't activate their effects or attack.

6.     If this card would be removed from the field as a result of battle or by an opponent's card effect: remove 1 material instead.

The third and fourth effects of this card can only be activated once per turn.
