Song Lyrics -- The World Ends

A while ago, there was a thread where you would post your own quotes. One of mine was the refrain of a song I was working on at the time. This would be that song. It basically attacks modern society and how good people are treated like vermin nowadays.

A shadow b'yond the merest doubt

That's all you seem to see...

You'll never know how much you sow

'Till you you what you reap...

Striking down the innocence.

Raising up the hate.

You won't know what you're doing,

Until it's too late...

The seeds of despair have begun to grow

And now their removal's beyond our ends,

Why we nourish them I will never know, for I know

This is how the world ends.

You want the world to be your world

You want to rule the stars.

If that's not how you want to be known

Then look at what you are.

Uprooting naïvété,

Growing misery.

You won't know what you're doing

Until you cease to be...

The seeds of despair have begun to grow

And now their removal's beyond our ends,

Why we nourish them I will never know, for I know

This is how the world ends.

A shadow b'yond the merest doubt,

You and your misery

That's what you have reduced us to

Beyond a memory...

The seeds of despair have begun to grow

And now their removal's beyond our ends,

Why we nourish them I will never know, for I know

This is how the world ends.

This is how the world ends...

The world ends...

We reap the hatred we all sow

So make good use of what you know...

This is how the world ends...

The world ends...

Watch what powers we now crave

And this poor world, we may still save...

This is how the world ends...

The world ends...

But until then, we've doomed the stars

Because of what we are...

The seeds of despair have begun to grow

And now their removal's beyond our ends,

Why we nourish them I will never know, for I know

This is how the world ends.

The seeds of despair have begun to grow

And now their removal's beyond our ends,

Why we nourish them I will never know, for I know

This is how the world ends.

I implore anyone reading this to critique it; it's still a WIP.
