Bloodrun
Who is deemed physically fit, to be an accepted person in todays society? How are we classified, as right and or wrong? How did we go from being equal, to being judged as the person people see, instead of the person we truly are? bury the year
Shouldn't this go in Debates? If it goes somewhere elsethe mods will move it. Well, I'm going to consider it a debate, so... I think it depends on how the media portrays the "perfect" person. The idea of "perfect" is never stable; it changes from place to place and age to age. RestLess-BoTics
I think it continuously changes in certain parts of the world. Because different places have different views on the perfect person. -Glasstin
Guest JoshIcy
Here is how I see it:-The only Constant is Change.-The Variable is Normalcy and yet things keep changing, and that changes what normalcy is... thus, the only thing normal is in fact change and there is no normal. Therefore, there is no standard and EVERYTHING is acceptable.
Kale
i agree with glasstin, but here is my understanding. we all have general ideas of what is right and wrong, just like we all have a general idea of what tastes, smells, and looks right and wrong, or in this case bad or good. but around the world are taste buds are different, and thus we eat different things. but we all share the same, or around the same, idea of what is right and what is wrong. the people who are socially accepted are thus thoughs who abide by a life in which they make the choices to be right, and not wrong. and we outcast the ones who do wrong, by putting them in jail. but lately we as humans cant see just right and wrong. we judge the book by the cover. the kid who looks emo who sits in the back of the classroom. what do you think of that? what is the image that pops into your head? someone who fails their classes, does drugs, and cuts themselves? thats not necessarily true, i for one dress sort of emo, and i am at the top of my class. its all the humans desire for lust and greed, to be well liked and make yourself well known. we then judge everyone based on what makes them popular, and what used to be wrong, such as drinking so much that you puke, is now right. and anyone who does these things is the socially accepted ones, and those who choose to be right, are now the outcasts. at least in my school thats what is seems like. ^_^
Guest JoshIcy
isnt that what makes choice so fun? how you can use it to manipulate people and mess with their perception of being normal etc? but most fail to see this, there are the lucky few though.... HelioSpark
Everyone wishes they could be someone else-someone they view as "perfect". The fact is, no one is perfect, and everybody wants to change something about them. So, in theory, everyone is normal.

Tefached
there is no such thing as normal Todays society everything is to be typical or abnormal i am abnormal Typical is what everyone expects, what they see theirself as. what is accepting we will never all be equal...even in the bible it says In gods eyes we are equal few lines later or so it says the jews are his chosen people. in otherwords the ones he saves...so can we ever all be accepted, equal or normal the answer is no.
