As you all know that starting in January of 2024 Google will be killing off its Basic HTML View man this sucks so much you can learn more about it in the video above but man that will suck for anyone one with an outdated Operating System (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (2025), Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks, Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite,  Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan, Mac OS X 10.12 Sierra, Mac OS X 10.13 High Sierra, Mac OS X 10.14 Mojave, Mac OS X 10.5 Catalina, Mac OS X 11 Big Sur (This Year it goes EOL in November 30, 2023), Mac OS X 12 Monterey (2024), Older Linux Distros with Linux Kernel versions 2.4 or older, Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and versions before it which there are too many to list, Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (2025).

So with that knowledge some older hardware cannot run any newer Operating System we've seen this happen with the OS I love to hate Windows 11 it has harsh minimal system requirements that cuts support for anything that doesn't have TPM 2.0 or higher, 4GB of DDR4 Ram of Greater, Dual Core CPU or Greater and no less than 8th Gen CPU so the cut off on hardware would or no less than 2017 or 2018 at the earliest that can be ran on Windows 11 so you could see the problem okay you would ask yourself this okay what about hardware upgrades?

To that I say HA HA HA GOOD LUCK there is no way you can put parts from 2018 in a 2005 computer or older its impossible firmware version, hardware compatibility and support, etc and plus think about it that can become very expensive to upgrade old hardware now probably your thinking to yourself why not go out and buy new hardware?

Now see there's the things that too can be very expensive also again this is something not everybody can do on a whim whenever and however they want you gotta think about your actions and would it could lead you to when going out to buy new hardware now that's not even talking about browser support.

Older versions of Google Chrome from 2017 and prior may not be compatible with the latest sites or currently sites that have been updated, samething with Firefox 68 and 70(S) and below they too, and who could forget Internet Explorer, and while where at it I'll bring up UWP Edge prior to becoming Chromium in late 2019 this is Windows 10's Browser, and Safari plus some developers stop putting out updates for older OSes Windows XP and Windows Vista the latest version of Google Chrome that can be ran is Google Chrome version 49.0.2623 which came out all the way back in 2016 and Firefox which ended support in 2017 they are stuck at version 68 and none of these are good options since they are full of security vulnerabilities and they required you to upgrade to Windows 7 or higher to continue getting support and updates which was somewhat hard for older hardware running on Windows XP also another thing is that Windows XP cannot be upgraded to Windows 7 without data loss because it cannot be directly upgraded to Windows 7 unlike Windows Vista it was a another one of Microsoft dumb decisions to force user to upgrade to Windows Vista to have a proper upgrade path directly to Windows 7 so you would have to upgrade in this order to keep all of your data without backing it up first Windows XP > Windows Vista > Windows 7 but for some Windows Vista users it was alot easier to do since Windows Vista ran on newer hardware also if they upgraded to Windows 7 the UI and everything would be very famailair to them and mostly the same no so no fits there now in 2023 with Google Chrome version 109 is the last version that supports Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 and this was in January and they would have to upgrade to Windows 10/11 to continue getting updates which many people hate those Operating Systems also not many people with older hardware that could only support Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 and below are not able to upgrade so you would have to use a Linux Distro instead than there is Firefox which will continue support Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 until September 2024 unlike Google which called quits as soon as Evil and Greedy Microsoft Pulled the plug on security on both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 on January 10th, 2023 Mozilla the makers of Firefox says you will have updates and support till September 2024 and you know what this is likely going to happen to both Windows 10 and 11 in the future so once Microsoft finally puts fucking Windows 11 to rest than we wills see Google do the same to both Windows 10 and Windows 11 just like they did to Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8.1 eventually they to will get stuck with outdated browsers that will one day become so outdated that they won't be able to surf the internet and have the freedom of going to any website since they will lock you out and tell you you need to update your browser and OS but if it can't go feather than it can't because of the hardware.
