Large Bog Crocodile
Reptile/Effect/WATER/Level 7
ATK 2400/DEF 2000

Cannot be destroyed by card effects during your opponent's turn. This face-up Defense Position card cannot be targeted for an attack. Once per turn: You can add 1 Level 4 or lower Reptile monster from your Deck to your hand. During your opponent's Battle Phase, if this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the GY: Special Summon this card in face-up Defense Position, and if you do, it gains 700 DEF.

Blood Mosquito
Insect/Effect/DARK/Level 4
ATK 1800/DEF 200
At the start of the Damage Step, if this card attacks a monster: Destroy that monster, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's ATK on the field. When this card destroys a monster by battle: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's ATK on the field.

Well, yep, they're generic, and not very good. Large Bog Crocodile's ability to search is interesting, and it can become a big wall, but the problem is, it's not really worth the two tributes. If it was Level 6, then maybe, but as it is it's a bit too much effort for that.

Blood Mosquito can remove a threat and inflict big burn damage, but it's slow. You won't be destroying much with this in battle due to its first effect, and anything that is immune to destruction by card effects is probably stronger than what 1800 ATK can handle.

But then again, I can't be too harsh on these. They do appear to be designed with older formats in mind, not so much as something to actually be used in fast paced modern Yugioh.
