spixi Posted April 15 Report Share Posted April 15 (edited) This is a tribute to a famous MTG card and meant to be a beatstick, with a Doodle Beast Tyranno like effect, which encourages deck diversity and also comes with Giant Rat interaction. However, it may work badly in decks without Trap cards or Pendulum decks. It can also help for Rank-5 Xyz or Level 6 to 9 Synchro summons as it can be Normal Summoned without using your regular Normal Summon and avoid effects which trigger, when monsters are Special Summoned. When all conditions are fulfilled this has ATK tie with Avramax, but Avramax cannot use its effect, as long this card is Normal Summoned. Tarmogoyf - Level 5 - Earth [Beast/Effect] (Quick Effect): Immediately after this effect resolves, Tribute Summon or Set this card from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Tarmogoyf" once per turn. Gains 1000 ATK/DEF for each different card type (Monster/Spell/Trap) in the GYs.
