The Resurgence - Hitotsu-Me Giant (EARTH)

Level 4

Beast-Warrior/Effect

You can Tribute 1 “Hitotsu-Me Giant” from your hand or field (Quick Effect): Special Summon this card from your hand, GY or Banishment. Can attack all monsters your opponent controls, once each, and if it attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict Piercing Battle Damage. If this card leaves the field by an opponent’s card or effect: You can Special Summon 1 “Hitotsu-Me Giant“ from your hand, Deck, GY, or Banishment.

ATK/1200 DEF/1000

Basically, the idea was to retrain H.M.G in such a way that both it and its original version could see play again in this more modern day. To THAT end…

⚫️The Resurgence retrain can (Quick Effect) Special Summon itself using the original Giant as Tribute form your hand or field. This is notably NOT on on any OPT…

⚫️It’s a Multi-attacker with piercing battle damage, able to take one swing at each of your opponent’s monsters. It’s 1200 ATK makes it seem weak for such a potent effect, but that just leaves it ripe for the rest of your deck to boost it and/or debuff your opponent’s monsters to the point where this can hurt good ‘n proper.

⚫️AND it’s floating effect (which procs from your opponents actions, giving it a hair trigger while not being TOO abusable from your own input) give you the choice to Special Summon the original Giant from nearly anywhere, thus setting up the conditions for the above Special Summon.

So basically, as long as you have copies of both versions of H.M.G ready to go in the places where this card’s effects can go off, one would be able to summon both versions of the card over and over as needed… they’d be easily knocked down, difficult to knock out, and more than ready to start swinging when the opening shows itself.

The phrase ”I didn’t hear no bell!” comes to mind for me personally.
