Gladiators don't rely on hand advantage' date=' either. But they have a hand support card to give them versatility. Whether you're needing your hand or not, you still need some kind of hand advantage.

exactly, though Gladiator Beast Respite doesnt take cards that are in play to get more cards. this card does, making it less powerful than GBR. ;) that was the thinking behind it.. .

it is like taking two Glad Beasts from your field and placing them in the RFG zone... just to get cards. doesnt help, huh?

but this card does help a little. ;) that was what i was thinking. ^_^

thank you for the input, and mini debate. XD

How about this' date=' Kale?

This card cannot be Special Summoned, except by it's own effect. When this card is Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned, or Special Summoned, you can remove this card from play during the End Phase. During your Main Phase, if this card is removed from play due to its own effect, then you can Special Summon it to activate 1 of the following effects: -Until the end of the turn, this card gains the following effect: When this card battles an opponent's monster, after damage calculation you can remove from play that monster and this card. Do not treat this as this card being removed from play by it's own effect.

-This card gains 300 ATK for each "Desserter Knight" monster in the removed from play zone.

cool, i will think about this one. ^_^ the last effect seems a bit overpowered at first, though after thinking about it, it isnt really.. .

i will consider it. ;)

You seen to not understand the difference between removed from play and in the hand. That card is the same as saying "Return 2 'Hero' monster in your Graveyard to your deck. Draw 3 cards."

And if you still don't understand how that is overpowered, I suggest you abort this project. I mean no offense, but you would need more experience.

That's harder than one would think, Kale. And UDE would be mine if I was rich, but the whole "Going into the **** grade" (Won't say which grade I'm in, already given enough info about me.) thing and the part where I realize I'm not rich slows me down a bit.

Anyway, when will these appear in "Edge of Justice?"

Actually, now that I think of it, that card should be 5 stars. Just one other removed from play monster makes him a 2000 ATK monster. Or just him a 200 ATK boost.

And Slayer Supreme, please keep opinions like that to yourself. Kale's one of the best card makers (If not members) on the site.

you, sir, need to understand the purpose of a set before you express ideas as such.

the intended purpose of this set revolves of removing them from the field to bring them back later. then their effects activate. with out remove from game, there is no way that they would work, as they would be duds. basically neat looking pics with a pointless effect.

now that i can trust you understand the point, let me explain the draw back of the card in question.

it takes the set of monsters that are still, relatively, in play and sends them to your deck. not only does that disrupt their abilities, but it keeps you from Special Summoning 2 of your monsters back during this turn, and any turn until such time that you play them again.

this card couldnt possibly activate on the first turn because of this, unless you would happened to have two copies of deserter launch in your hand as well. and playing that way would use up to very useful cards in the first move, just to get three cards. so, -3 +3.

another way would be to have macro/dimensional fissure with to Foolish. but that would be -4+3. either way, it is not able on the first turn. this would deny any advantage this card would give you against your opponent until they could go at least once, or even twice.

And yet you have the gall to tell me that i have no idea what i am doing? you have the nerve to tell me to abort something that i enjoy doing, because you lack the critical thinking skills to believe in a new concept? You dare tell me to stop this set because you think a certain card is overpowered, when it isnt?

if you -2 monsters, (no wait, it is Deserter Knight only. Key factor in the card) that you are regularly playing to activate their effects and use, then by all means you deserve 3 cards.

with these, you can pull of an OTK if you remove the right cards, including a few that i havnt released yet.

and several cards can block this set entirely, such as one trap known as Royal Impregnable Fortress, a Trap that is starting to see some Side Decking.

And furthermore, you dare even tell someone to stop doing something on an internet forum? a place where people come to have fun? how you can work up the nerve to do such a thing astounds me...

and you even come to tell me that i need more experience. This astounds me the most. i have been playing this card game ever since the first booster was released. can you say the same? i have developed a great dueling atmosphere, and i have collected over 4000 cards in my lifetime.

How dare you say that i need more experience when i know what i am doing.

i wish you to not come back to this thread. simple as that. please dont come back here, unless you have something... oh, i dont know, appreciative? to say.

DD Warrior, i appreciate you sticking up for me, but you can see that i can hold my ground.

good day, geez.. i am royally ticked.
