I have already made some versions of this card here and now i'll explain why i made the choices as you can see and the real intentions with this card: 1st- gameplay wise: The rank, attribute and type are for supoorting hunders archetype. The ATK is 2800 because [1900 (rai-oh's ATK) + 1700 (sekka's ATK) ]/2 = 1800, then + 1000 (basic evolution ATK boost) = 2800. As for the DEF, is following a pattern, 800 (rai-oh's DEF), 1000 (sekka's DEF), then 1200. As for the effect, there's a thing i want to make clear: This card was made to be the ultimate anti-meta card. Sure i made some modifications for balance reasons, but the card is meant to be powerful because it needs to be powerful to be an anti-meta card in the first place. Also it's meant to counter other annoying strategies as well, because thats the idea of the card, countering the the most strategies possible to make its archetype (hunders) playable. Thats said, this card is not a joke card and also not unhealthy to the game since its restricted to its archetype (and maybe other cards, whose archetypes would not nearly benefit as hunders would), and unlike strategies like colossus, sky striker, kaijus, chaos and others, this card cannot be abused in other archetypes, neither as a tech nor as an alternate engine/win condition because hunders engine is big enough to consume a large sapce on the deck (at least if you want it to be consistent enough) and this card does need hunder to be effectivelly playable. All that said, the idea of the effect is to draw thunder king, denko and hunders as a whole to their full potential, not only as an anti-meta strategy, but also for the cards themselves. The first effect is to restrict to hunders archetype and the second effect is mainly to make possible for hunders going second. The number restriction of this card controling is for balance reasons and also is related to its name and lore. The add effect is to combine the effects of all the 4 main members of the family and its xyz strategy (expressed in spirit converter, otonari thunder and somewhat in thunder spark dragon) in 1 effect. The gaining effects express the idea of the deck true potential, so when this card gains rai-oh effect, it transfer its floodgate effect to the opponent and its second also becomes a floodgate; when it gains sekka effect, it also transfer its floodgate effect to the opponent, but also transfer the cannot be special summoned weakness to the opponent as well, which translate in its other floodgate effect, that make your opponent's monsters unable of being special summoned, by effects because it a translation of sekka's ability of locking activations and also as a composition with rai-oh's effect, also monsters effect for not special Summoning themselves mainly, and only from the hand because is where players generally conduct their main actions from and also for balance reasons; as for the last effect is literally the full potention not only of this card but of hunders as a whole, reflecting on the entire deck, is literally the wincon the deck needed to be what is it supposed to be, a powerfull anti-meta deck, thats also transmit the true idea of Unity; 2nd- Format wise: 1218 characters and 207 words. Yes, too big for known yugioh standards, but that the best i could do. If someone, however have a better PSCT, with no changes in the effects or at least with justified changes that do not affect the purpose of the case, it's really welcome (not so final, uh?); 3rd- Lore wise: The card literally represents the marriage of thunder king rai-oh and denko sekka. The yellow man is Rai-oh's true self, outside his armor, and the woman is Sekka, as a bride. My real intention with image was making both kissing each other, but i don't know how to draw artworks so well, so this image is the best i could found on the internet and edit to express that idea if someone however can do a better work to express the idea of the card as a whole, i would really apreciate it and with proper permission and copyright reference(s) i would also apreciate to remade the card with that image (where's the "final version" again?). You can only control 1 of this card because the Unity Has the prerrogative of being Unique, and as we can see, the gameplay of this card also shows that the Unity does not translate to marriage only, but to any kind of relationship, which leads to the 4th reason on why i made this card; 4th- Spiritual wise: The Unity translates more than just in relationships, but Is the truth and the meaning of everyone and everything, thats why the last effect applies to the entire deck and thats why this card have effects that the "standalone counterparts" doesn't, because Is a Living Being, which is logical, because if One Is the Truth, the Life, the Way and the Meaning Of Everything, this One is also the Unity Itself, because if One Is the Meaning Of Everything, things exists because This One exists, if One Is the Truth, Is also the Way and the Life, and anything and anyone cannot live, exist or change without This One. In the image, the Unity is represented not by the man and the woman, but by the thunder between them, where their hands meet, which is the Union of both. The Perfect Union, however, is when people truly Loves each other, because the Unity Is the Love Itself. So the main message with this card is: You want to be powerful, better, optmal, inteligent, wise, helpful, cooperative, want to do/being any Good, or want a miracle, be yourself the miracle, Love the Love Itself in the first place (because Love Does Not Have prisons and therefore Has no favorites, I mean, Loves Everyone equally), Love each other, even more than yourselves, and then Love yourselves, because you exist and by existing you have a purpose and a reason to Be. The world, however, will try to do anything for making you not to love, that's why this is the Ultimate anti-meta card, because it's against the world itself. And now the card effect: 2 Level 4 LIGHT Thunder monsters Must first be Xyz Summoned with the above materials and cannot be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck by other ways. This card, Level 4 LIGHT Thunder monsters and cards that mention "Level 4 LIGHT Thunder monster" you own cannot have their Summons, activations or effects negated. You can only control 1 "Rai-Sekka, The Thunder Unity". Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card; add to your hand 1 Level 4 LIGHT Thunder monster from your Deck or GY, then you can Normal Summon it, or attach it to this card as material. Gains the following effects, based on the name/number of its materials: ● "Thunder King Rai-Oh": Your opponent cannot Special Summon exacly 1 monster, also they cannot add cards from their Deck to their hand, except by drawing them. ● "Denko Sekka": Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects from their Hand that would Special Summon exacly 1 monster, also they cannot Set Spells/Traps nor activate Spell/Trap Cards that are Set on the field. ● 10+ materials, including both names above: Cards you own cannot be targeted by, have its location or position changed by and is unnafected by your opponent's card Summons, activations or effects.
