Patient dies on Hospital Floor, Bystanders do nothing.

Congratulations! You're retarded.

You're an underling of Modern News Corruption.

"Bystanders do nothing".

What the hell, how are they supposed to do something?

If i saw a sick, elderly man wabble down a hospital hall, and then collapse, I wouldn't have a clue as to what to act upon.

CPR? Ejection? Operate? I wouldn't know.

Expecting bystanders to be medically adept is stupid.

Want someone to blame for lack of medical attention? Blame Inflation, not the hospitals.

Help the woman' date=' keep her upright something... Rush towards medical personel... DO SOMETHING!!! >.>

Incredibly easy to say now, Eh?

In that situation, you'd panic, knowing what's at risk.

If I was in that situation, I'd merely assume that there'd be someone else to rise to the occasion.

Since if I do something wrong, there isn't anyone else to blame.

I guess noone wanted to take the risk of someones life in their hands.

Yes I would panic, yes I would be nervous, yes I would be in tears. But I wouldnt sit by and do nothing as someone is dying in front of me. If I were to do that I'd have to take my own life, as I would want others to help me.... I'm sorry but these people should have acted on some kind of impulse...

when someone collapses in a hospital' date=' there are far to many problems that could be associated. They could be contagious.

The risk of saving another over your own is nothing compared to watching someone die... I'm sorry but you would actually worry about the disease and yet your sitting in the same room?! Whether through Osmosis or Airborne, your logic seems to lack sense due to that not acting on being contagious has no grounds if you dont know what it is and being in the same room.

ok Icy, i am here to answer your cry

for unbelievboy idiotic question

what you think you are feeling, isn't sadness, nor depression

your hopefulness, and your sadness, and your "wanting" to help, shall be answered with this.

nothing but the truth.

as i said over AIM

if you did not notice, that hospital is in brooklyn

i am more then willing to be, that it is a peds, after hours medical facility

only meening that the patients there, have slim to none, of the only thing that speaks the english tonque in this world. Money.

therefore, its a dog eat dog world.

meaning, that they will do anything for money, and anything to not have o pay a 5,000 dollar medical bill.

so even if you were to go help that women.

she, is by law, able to sue your ass, for anything

sense you are not legalized meical facilitator.

If you've proven anything to me, Icyblue, it's that you are a really caring person.

However, doing something like "holding them upright" wouldn't do much. They'd just be dieing at the same rate.

That kind of help would be pointless, though, you cannot expect modern society citizens to have intuition such as this.

I mean, most people in hospital are there for disease purposes..

And being medically stupid, I wouldn't know if someones dieing unless there hand was on their heart, or they had a massive artery wound.

If someone was suddenly dieing from an infection, how would I know that the result of whatever attack they're having could be fatal?

Bystanders don't have the responsibility of those around them.

It's in the job criteria of a doctor to.

However, A doctor can only tend to so much.

So all in all, it goes back to cities being to inflated for basic services.

Knowing that you tried to do something should be more than enough. Albeit debt or otherwise, as long as someone is in danger act on some sort of impulse. Being useless or otherwise. I see these people do NOTHING. Try and comfort her, even if it does nothing. Be by her side if it hurts her and try and be motivational while someone else does their best and gets some kind of help, a nurse or ER doctor... Money is not the problem, and if it is I'm glad I live where I do where the life of another is worth more than ones self. (Albeit not on my current Island but my Home Island...)

Lol. I can see this going on for a while.. ^__^.

I don't think we are arguing on the same point, though. =].

I'm more "Help if it actually does something." And you're more "Help, even if it just helps your conscience."

Overall.. I guess helping to just show initiative and care is better than nothing..

=S. Being defeated in debates; Sucks.

And.. Yeah.. =].

Now.

Are you people actually saying that you'd just stand by and watch somebody die?

Seriously?

Would you let someone YOU knew die? Most likely not. Why? Because you all just think for yourselves. Selfish, pieces of crap that aren't even worth the dirt you walk on.

You make me sick. You are heartless.

If we didn't have to pay part of our well earned Paycheck to run the Hospitals then yes. I would stop everything I am doing to help. But we have the Medical Services. It's thier job to deal with the Patients. Sorry if it seems a little heartless but it's the truth.

Money matters more to you than a human life?

You're sick.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd give the shirt off my back to a complete stranger if they needed it more than me.

You're the reason people like me are looked down upon.

Annd thanks for the welcome<3.

I personally don't care if I get banned for this.

You people needed to hear it.

And a "little heartless" ITS A HUMAN LIFE.
