shonenhikada
Here's an idea for better pokemon game. 1.Implement a super smash brother battle system in which you can move around the area (which would change depending on where your character is) and fight, punch and kick with your pokemon against the opposing pokemon. You know how pokemon in the game have up to 4 attacks in the game right, you can use the 4 buttons on the game controller and designate the corresponding attacks for each button. To execute the attack is merely hitting the designated button in battle. 2. Custom create a trainer (getting to choose how you look for once). 3. Easter eggs, extra costumes and unlockables upon beating the game like new cloths, hats and stuff. 4. 3-d cut scene in important events in the story. 5. online play. 6. Being able to pick up jobs and get employed in the game as a little side quest fun. (e.g Becoming a Gym leader student, become a gym leader, pokemon ranger, archaeologist, researcher, work for team rocket or whatever.... can't think of anything else) 7. Being able to customize the look of your pokemon in a store (which can be implemented as strategy in pokemon contest) such as tattoos, new hairstyles for your pokemon and stuff like that. Guest JoshIcy
I agree with everything except the idea #1... A standard full 3/4-D walkaround would be safer, and still have the ideal theme. Maybe some mini-games like that, but with the sheer number of moves and fact that a good player can take more advantage of the massive area... I dunno... The rest is drool worthy though ^_^
Guest Supreme Gamesmaster
I say that: •A 3D system should be implemented for battles. It's sort of like ShonenHikada's #1, but different. Ground-based Pokémon would move with the Nunchuk's control stick, aim with the Wiimote, and attack with A, B, C, and Z. Flying Pokémon would be guided using the Wiimote for direction and the Nunchuk's control stick for throttle, and attack with A, B, C, and Z. The possibilities for Double-Team, Agility, Faint Attack, etc. are amazing. •A custom trainer system would be implemented à la Fallout 3. •Easter eggs would be everywhere. •"Glitch" Pokémon would be added to the game; doing certain things would let you meet them. For example, the Old Man Glitch would be recreated, and you could catch Missigno. •Some battle music would be "Thunderization." Search it on Freeplaymusic. You'll agree with me. •A Career System as designed by ShonenHikada. •Online play. Eight people with Gym Leader careers and four people with Elite Four careers could form a Pokémon League of their own, and trainers going online would be able to face them. AI Gym Leaders/Elite Four would be available for less socially skilled players. •A Region Creator. You could use pieces of land to create your own region, populate it with Pokémon, and release it to the online world (possibly for use by your own Pokémon League). •A Pokémon Creator. You could design it à la Spore Creature Creator, then select its base stats, moves, TM/HMs, gender ratios, ground/flying, etc. You could then catch it in the wild, put it in your region, or release it to the online world. •Hyper Contests. A new section would be added to the Super Contest in which you use a combination of moves to fit the theme. For example, if the theme was "Elemental Beauty," a Charizard could use Fire Spin and Seismic Toss, followed by Fly to go through the created ring of flames, and then Flamethrower through the ring. •PokéMetics. Tatoos, "scars," birthmarks, etc. would be available for purchase in PokéMetic centers. •Custom PokéMarts. Players acting as a PokéMart proprietor in the Career System would be able to add items to their PokéMart and set prices. Online shoppers could then purchase items from the PokéMart, with you gaining the PokéDollars you set for the price. •Auctions. PokéMarts could have an Auction Room. This would be especially useful online. •Pokémon Adoption. If you want to release a Pokémon, you can put it up for adoption online. An adopted Pokémon would function like a traded Pokémon. As you can see, I'm heavily abusing the online functions of the Wii.
Arekku_Koro
•Pokémon Adoption. If you want to release a Pokémon' date=' you can put it up for adoption online. Willieh
I want to incorporate a new type of pokemon. It would be called "Pokemon Death Jam 2009!" And basically the pokemon would battle to the death and include all of the things Supreme GameMaster suggested. And then at the end, whoever loses would have the message come up on their screen, "You...Are...SUCK!!!" XD that would be the best game ever, as far as pokemon goes. Pikachu
i like all of your ideas (infact idea no. 1 is what i've dreamed of doing)but nice!
samer_13
You could make a pokemon game like with all the ideas above and make it into a DBZ Budakai Tenkaichi type game that interacts with its eviornment. Also that you can travel to every region in pokemon, and you can trade with other versions, heh, i would hate to see the price of that game in stores. Lazer Yoshi
It should have a moving-around system like MySims!:D I think you should visit all regions, and you could catch EVERY Pokemon, including all the legendaries, event pokemon, and even Missingno! Missingo would then become an offical Pokemon. Every Move would have a TM/HM, and HMs could be erased without a move deleter. Even more Pokemon, since I want an evolution for Zangoose and Tauros! ^^
Pikachu
true, don't know about elegendaries. it should be real like there's only 1 legendary and only 1 person in this world could catch it (that would be cool XD)but meh

Guest Supreme Gamesmaster
New Ideas: •Legendaries: Only a few people in the world can own a Legendary Pokémon... if they can catch it. You can't put legendaries in custom regions, you can only catch them in online Kanto/Johto/Hoenn/Sinnoh. Pokémon like the Legendary Birds would come in sixty or so, while Pokémon like Groudon and Diaruga would only have one or two copies. Arceus would belong to Nintendo, while the developers got Giratina's Another form. •No Master Balls. This is a tie-in with the above. Only a truly worthy trainer can own a Legendary Pokémon. •Snag Balls. This was a really cool feature from Colloseum, and it'd be really cool to see it make a comeback. When battling enemy trainers, a few people would have Snag Machines to catch enemy Pokémon with. However, reception of Snag Machines is random, and you only own it for one day. •You can battle any trainer multiple times. This would help with "glitches." •Custom Gym Badge Creation. Gym Leaders could design their own badges à la Drawn to Life. •Team Rocket Members. If you lose to a Team Rocket member, they steal your lowest-level Pokémon on your team. If you win against a Team Rocket member, you steal their lowest-level Pokémon on their team. This adds risk to those seeking to become a Team Rocket Member via the Career System, and adds to their reputation as Pokémon thieves. •Adaptable Gym Leaders. Gym Leaders' Pokémon levels change as you train so they'll always be a challenge. This doesn't apply to Gym Leaders on the Career System, but it does to the Elite Four (not Career System). •Training Resumé. If you do certain things in the Career System or beat a League, you could get discounts on items in PokéMarts, and on... •Pokémon Center Charges. Now you have a reason to use potions, XD. They're cheap, though. •More Effective Repels. Wild Pokémon battles can be really annoying sometimes, so the Repels should be better. •More HMs. Glare could temporarily ward off wild Pokémon, Sweet Scent could attract them, U-Turn could take you to one of the places you visited recently...
