Economic win? How does that work? O,x

I don't like Civilization's economic system, but it's still a great game. I'm looking closely into it; I'm a 4x guru, and Civ3 is the second-best 4x I've ever heard of.

I dont have the others, but this one seemed like my kind of game.

idk.. I didn't make it. lol..

The best civ in this game, to me, is clearly the English, and the Romans. They have the best set up.. and the Americans just fail in this game. =/

I have civ 4' date=' with the Warlords and Beyond the Sword expansions. It pwns. I'm dying to get Revolution!!

I love cultural win, I usually build like 3/4 of the wonders. It pretty much only because I cant win a war for my life XD

Strange; in GalCiv, I'm just the opposite. I focus on military and technological power to manipulate the galaxy into stimulating my economy until they kill each other off, and myself and whatever ally I make crush the last one standing.

My strategy tends to be focusing on my cultural and technological abilities. Then using minimal military, only for defense and slight offense. Then, the other civs attack me, and stop focusing on culture and technology, then, I win the tech/culture win.

Yeah, I gots it.

Gengis Khan is the best though.

It was fun. On my first war, I destroyed the Arabs Civilization easily. If I could do it, why couldn't Bush?

Anyway, once the cruser is invented and you have Barracks in all your towns, It's pretty much a victory.

On my game it's the French. One of my cities beat Paris for the Best City title though. Napoleon always asks for half of my gold then when I say no, he declares war.

I get as much military as possible near the beginning and when we get a chance to build a wonder (can't remember which one exactly) I try to get more population and culture.

civilizations rocks! (my favorite genre' date=' real time strategy)

wow, the leaders look quite realistic too.....

Real-Time? Isn't CivRev turn-based? I know Civ4 was at least.

It's 4x — Exploration, Expanding, Exploitation, Extermination.

@Zeroshot & Wombat: The solution, my friends, is to simply stall them with a small force while keeping your real military under production, and then totally overwhelm them. That should scare others from attacking. Oh, and max out industry from the beginning; that'll let you use that strategy. That's what I do to the Drengin in GalCiv, anyway; I assume the same principle would apply for CivRev.
