i feel that i am not popular in my school, though other people tend to disagree.

i am a loner, a self-titled claim. I say this because i am alone a lot, and i choose to be that way.

needless to say, i have a bunch of friends, and nearly everyone knows who i am.

i am a geek, which means that you dont rank that high on the popularity scale. yet people say that i do...

and because i am such an expert at school, i am in with the teachers. no one in the school, that i know of, hates me. unless it is that i get a 97% A on a test that i didnt study for...

who knows, maybe my school is full of weirdos, and i just happen not to be so weird. :|

i am good at what i do, and i have a lot of friends, and people know who i am.

is that what popularity is? who defines it? What should it stand for?

if i am popular, please tell me to my face, not just expect me to know. because if it am, then i dont believe it.

I hate those definitions of `loser' or `nerd'. Usually, `popular' in elementary school means that you do things that people think you should do, and you have no free will whatsoever so you have to keep living up to other people's standards.

Also, `nerds' are correctly defined as people who actually succeed in life and get good grades, and are teased on by jealous `cool' kids. `Losers' are people who live up to their own standards, don't care how the heck people think about him, and are actually independent.

This doesn't appear in all elementary schools, but it happens often. Of course, mostly the independent students are the most popular. It depends which school.

In short, if your talking about the non independent popularity system, I'd be defined by others as a `Loser' since I'm actually somewhat independent. But, in the independent popularity system, I'd be popular.

@coolio1234:

....

Did you even read any of my post?

You most probably just read the first few words. Also, the definitions of `loser' and `nerd' were basically created by the media who basically brainwashes kids into believing that pissing off the teacher, getting bad grades, sucking at life, is good.

The above is not a joke.

As I said before, you are clearly not listening to anything I am saying.

And also, just a tip, the sign of anger in forums and instant messengers is usually when a person puts capitalize every word he's saying, and also putting lots of exclamation marks.

Thank you taking Lord Davok's `Succeeding at Life'.
