heavy storm, could this be the end?

in a meta where every duelist has at least 1 solemn face down during their duel, has this card become too slow, because the only effective spell and trap removal is now to be done in the end phase.

 

my discussion is, has heavy storm become too slow for this chainable meta, and are the alternatives worth running over this? also how long more will this card be considered a staple?

While their are more chainable cards being used, it won't stop people from using Heavy since their are still cards that aren't chainable that are still common place in a lot of decks.

I think that it just makes Heavy a bit more of a threat. If you play Heavy and your opponent solemns it, it will show you your opponent has something important that they need and you need to be on your toes. If you heavy and your opponent plays something like Roar or Wabaku sure it stops you but it still blows up the rest of the opponents arsenal.

but how often, especially with gb decks do they set more than 1 - 2 spell/ traps?

^Cant answer that, never played passed lolocals and when I used to play lolocals I played battery which wasnt good enough to last like 3 turns VS glad.

but my arguement is that people are splashing solemn and bribe into their decks, and you dont always come across oppression, and cosr so does heavy storms place belong more with the side deck?

No, It blows up field and if solemn or bribe pops up up its still a win situation because you draw or get a lp different. IDK its still a staple like dark hole and delingquent duo were

Solem isn't a big deal here since most people wouldn't use it to stop heavy. The only time they might is if they have something like RFTDD.

but its not just solemn, were in a gb meta where wab and threatening roar are nearly always activated after heavy storm is. don't get me wrong i think this card is good, but its just not as good in this meta and i am considering using a third dust in my decks and siding this if my opponent plays a lot of continuous spell and trap.

I fail to see how being Bribe-able or Solemn-able is a bad thing. If it gets Bribed, you got a replacement card and the opponent lost their Counter Trap. If it gets Solemned, your opponent loses a Solemn and half their Life Points.

 

I heard DAD decks are side-decking DAD now. It's too vulnerable to Solemn.
