Hey guys!

I just wanted to password really quick that Deck Studio 1.8 is out and it has the Synchro monster support you're looking for. You can download it here: http://ygotoolkit.dillieodigital.net/ygotoolkit/media/p/151.aspx

Nate: when you get a chance to verify the link and file' date=' could you please update the initial post to point to this new version? You could even point it at the general installer location since all the current downloads bubble to the top.

Thanks again for your support here. It is greatly appreciated.

Yes, the "with images" version is on the way. I need to develop a new library to handle the processing of images with the new TCR, but I've also been fixing some bugs that have been encountered. The general consensus at the time was that folks would prefer getting the data into Deck Studio now and worry about images later.

As a sidenote, and an apology, the link for deck studio has changed again, but for good. You can now access it by going to http://deckstudio.ccgtoolkit.com The deck studio domain is going away here in a month or so, but the programs will continue on, so make sure to spread the word.

Here's the path:

1. Go to http://deckstudio.ccgtoolkit.com

2. Click the link on that main page that says "Download version 1.8.5 [No Images]"

3. This link will take you to the media page. Click the "Download" link.

4. Once the file downloads. Run the installer.

5. Once the installer completes. Run Deck Studio, and select Update->Check for Updates... from the menu.

6. Click the "Check for Updates" button and click the "Download" button on any items that say there are updates available.

7. Click the "Close" button when the updates are complete.

This will get you up to the latest version of everything. Enjoy!

DOh! I know your problem. Unfortunately Deck Studio only works with Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 at this time. I'm sorry that this hasn't been mentioned yet. I'll make sure to get this info out on the website in a more visible location.

But take heart, version 2.0 is planned to work with Mac OSX and *NIX platforms (Red Hat, Ubuntu, etc.)

I tried updating mine to get the newer cards and stuff but it gets to 99% and says it fails why is it doing this?

Hmmm. What version of Deck Studio are you running? If it is version 1.7.2 or below, you will need to upgrade to version 1.8.5 since the database format has changed, which is the cause of your error.

If you are running the latest version, please post the error over at http://ccgtoolkit.com so I can look into it more.

@YuugiCM

I'm glad things are working for you now. Images for the cards will be coming out shortly. I'm in the process of revamping the image library and the folks in the CCG Toolkit forums had said they would prefer to have the data now and the images later, than have to wait for everything.

@Cavloe

Without going into too much detail here, the program is designed to give you quick access to all the tournament legal cards to build a deck with, and then do some basic things with the deck like test opening hands, or see the stats on the deck. Why run Sangan if you only have 2 monsters with 1500 ATK or less, unless you absolutely need one of those cards.

To get started, start up the program, pick a card you want to add to your deck and double click it. The program will start a new deck and drop it in for you. From there you will see a lot more options open up and you can add more cards at your leisure. Feel free to drop me a PM or go over to the forums if you have additional questions. There is also a user guide (there should be a shortcut in your start menu) that is a bit old, but will give you a general overview of the program.

Unfortunately there is no way to do this in the current version of Deck Studio. The TCR is designed to accommodate only the tournament legal cards to assist in making your deck ready for tournaments.

However, with version 2.0, I'm really looking to open things up a bit more to different modules, different CCGs, and more, so this might be a feature that gets worked in eventually.
