Tropical Storm Hanna

How many of you will be affected by this storm?

Our base has gone completely hurricane crazy trying to prepare. It'd be cool if it closed for a few days. Give me some days off O_o.

The only part that sucks is our apartment isn't the greatest, so I know while I may have a day or two off, its going to be sucky getting stuck in there. No internet...no cable...no power (when the storm shows up, it'll likely knock it out)...nothing @_@

Meh,

its not going to be around long. The weather service is predicting it to be up by Mass. Sunday morning. Its supposed to hit us saturday morning. We MIGHT see it for a few hours.

Plus, its only a category 1 right now. Unless it strengthens significantly over the next day, its just going to be a big thunderstorm.

tea.leaf, no matter where you live you are going to experience natural disasters.

floods and hurricanes on the coasts.

floods and tornadoes in the midwest

earthquakes and hurricanes in california

and that's just the US, not counting droughts, and fires.

Then there's the rest of the world to consider.

Personally, I think I'd rather stick back to the good ol' mid-west tornadoes.

They were exciting but more importantly, you didn't have to watch them come for days on end, then take forever to leave. They are there and gone in an instant (of course, so is your house).

That really sucks

I can't go a day without internet >.>

A day? Try 2 weeks. You'd be going all crazy on anybody near you xD

I went without internet for 2 weeks and handled myself fine :P

Every other week for six months.

Ontopic: Well, I live on the other side of the Atlantic. We did have a tornado-wannabe in our town back in summer, though. However, it passed north of us. We still got some trees torn up though. :D

Dude, stop talking like you know everything.

Seriously, not every spot on the planet is a frickin' hell-hole.

Washington, for example, is a mellow area; no extreme weather, ever.

There are earthquakes, occasionally, but they never reach where I am.
