Its all good saying how bad it is' date=' think of how quickly it would reverse global warming. (since Volcanoes are one of the coolers of the world). Then again I doubt anyone would think positively if it did go off.

Icy I remember national geographic commenting on what would happen when one of the Hawaiian volcanoes prepared to go for a larger eruption, the swelling of it could cause a large landslide and the largest Tsunami ever seen.

Highly likely lol, we are almost dead center in the pacific. Something were to go off on that scale, the ripple effect might cause a tsunami of that enormous proportions and wipe out the ring of fire itself...

lol it also might happen sooner than you think. The coast of Puna is already loosened by lava tunnels, we might have a massive tsunami within the century.

Inb4 "WHAOMAGAWD ITS GONNA BLOW IN DECEMBER OF 2012!!1!1"

Wait..... December 2012??? There is evidence that the end of the world will occur on December 21' date=' 2012!!!! One of the ways they proved it was with something about a volcano! And another way they proved it is they found an Aztec calender that started at 1000000 BC, and ended on December 21, 2012. NOOOOO! WE ARE ALL GONNA DIE ON THE FIRST DAY OF WINTER IN 2012! NOOO! I'M TOO YOUNG TO DIE! WHEN I DIE, I'LL BE 15 1/2!!!!!!!!

2012 thing is only a myth. This is real and can erupt anytime

the only reason why they came up with the end of the World in 2012 was because, like a clock,12 is the last hour in a clock,i don't believe that yellowstone won't be a supervolcano till some timemaybe 2030,besides,we're all supposed to go Extinct in year 5000
