Gene-Warped Warwolf : Discussion

Recommended Posts

Me and my friends get to turn 5 and 6 because we're not looking to smash our opponent fast.

Anyways, look at it this way. You keep pulling monsters that have just under 2000 attack or defense and your opponent starts off with a GWW and keeps smashing your monsters. Meanwhile, building up his or her own monsters to wipe you out.

If your opponent finally plays it that far into the duel, you should be able to clear it away with no problems.

This is the same reason that makes Summoned Skull banworthy. The fact that it's 6 stars and has 2500 ATK makes it banable.

goyo is a level 6 that has 2800 ATK and can steal monsters. Summoned Skull? please...

---

i do think that there needs to be a line drawn. when the game came out' date=' we were all playing with 1000 ATK monsters as powerful beings. now its a 1900 ATK monster that is a normal being.

it is strange... and when they come out with a 2500 ATK level 4 monster... i dont even want to think about it. XD

Sorry, I wasn't thinking about Goyo at that exact moment.

IMO, the limit for a 4 star normal monster is 1900. No Higher.

Summoned Skull? I wouldn't think he is banworthy. Frostosaurus is MUCH better, but should also remain at 3.

Continuing, cards with lolATK should not be banned, unless it's really crazy.

Warwolf is a simple Normal Monster, yes, High ATK, but no effect. However, it might work in a Normal or Synchro Deck...

also this may seem like a grey area but also remeber a beatstick gave the gb duelist an edge to win the world title. maybe we need level 4 vanilias to wipe out the usefullness of an effect monster. does it just open more types of decks to flood the meta? i think 2k has to be the max tho.

If Gene-Warped was a warrior' date=' and therefore searchable, he might even see some play. (He'd be better than Andal, as GB players already use multiples of Reinforcement, where as Proving Grounds is rarely seen at more than 1 copy.)

you do know rota is the only reason theirs never been an noral level 4 warrior with 1900 + atk

Elemental Hero Neos Alius is a Normal Level 4 Warrior while face-up on the field or in the graveyard. >_>

Lets draw the lines.

Level 3 or lower Vanilla: 1750 is enough. Maybe 1800. You gotta consider Gravity Bind and Level Limit Area B in the case of monsters with this Level. (Example: Jerry Beans Man ATK 1750)

Level 4 Vanilla: 2000 is enough. You have Archfiend General, Zeradias and Captain Gold which are like Terraformings in certain decks but have a drawback which, you could say balances them out. 2100 would be a bit much.

Level 5 or 6 Vanilla: 2600 is enough. Any higher would be a bit much. (Frostosaurus)

Level 7+: Blue-Eyes has always been and should always be the most powerful Vanilla in terms of ATK. It has its uses such as being a Fusion Material Monster for 2 different and powerful Fusion Monsters. The most that should happen with new Vanilla's if anything of Level 7 or more is that anything equal to 3000 ATK should be acceptable. (Example: Blue-Eyes obviously). Any higher is unacceptable.

All these barriers or lines have already been drawn. Do they need to be redrawn? With the exception of Blue-Eyes, all these strong Vanilla's dont really have any good decks that could be built around them do they?

This reminds me of the "4000 Vanilla Beatstick" Discussion. IMO, capping the stats on normal monsters that has nothing else to offer wouldn't matter unless it can be overly abused. What it should come down to is accounting for all the greater Normal support cards, and from there base the decision on its ATK and DEF. Lets be honest, a lvl 4 2000 ATK Normal would be nothing in comparison to a lvl 3 2000 ATK normal monster, and laughed upon at a lvl 5 2000 ATK normal monster.

All of these numbers are randomly pulled out of the air, you need to justify wether these numbers are actually going to stop a lolatk meta. Also who ever mention cydra should die
