Tickle Me Emo
In a meta where MIRROR FORCE is starting to be thought as too SLOW, you know there is something wrong. Anyone agree? Discuss
「tea.leaf」
No. Stop thinking that you know everything.
Tickle Me Emo
i never said I know everything. Im saying that what Ive been seeing lately Mirror Force seems to be getting to slow in this meta.
「tea.leaf」
So? Times change, and evolutions occur. It's just part of the game.
CrabHelmet
When people stop using Mirror Force, multiple things are possible. Three of the possible explanations: 1) The format is extremely burn-heavy, to the extent that decks don't attack enough to make Mirror Force worthwhile. 2) For one reason or another, people almost never have more than one monster on the field, making Dimensional Prison a better choice. 3) Large amounts of spell/trap removal are used to the extent that virtually all non-chainables will not go off often enough to be worthwhile. Tickle Me Emo
So? Times change' date=' and evolutions occur. It's just part of the game.[/quote'] Yes and this part Mirror Force is becoming to slow to use. When times change and the banworthy cards get banned, expecially DAD and Gyzarus then Mirror Force will be more worthwhile. 3) Large amounts of spell/trap removal are used to the extent that virtually all non-chainables will not go off often enough to be worthwhile. That basically sums up this meta Threat Roar > this now... Yes, exactly how I feel.
Azuh
Threat Roar > this now... Yes, because stopping attacks is better than destroyng your opponents monsters and all... =/
Aximil
Threat Roar > this now... Yes' date=' because stopping attacks is better than destroyng your opponents monsters and all... =/[/quote'] Sarcasm. I think. I prefer Mirror Force over Threatening Roar. Aren't they the same speed? And, Roar leaves your opponent's monsters untouched. Mirror Force destroys them. How is Roar better?
CrabHelmet
Threatening Roar is chainable; Mirror Force is not. In a format with lots of removal, that's significant.
Aximil
You sure it's better?

~ Chidori-Kun
Ok Here Look at this. you set MF, End. Opponent Summon JD pay 1000 blow up, MF go bye bye but TR can chain on so JD's cost was almost worthelsess
Orochi
the only wrong thing on a fomat where mirror force is not ban material... is called "balance"... seriously, stop posting nonsense...
Aximil
Eh...I'm the only one with JD in my town and around it. So, I don't see the threat. I understand what you're saying though. I will probably swap MF out for TR once the people here get better decks. Until then, I'm staying with MF.
The Dark One
Mirror Force can still be good in your local environment. Mine doesn't seem to like S/T removal, so every use Dimensional Prisons and sometimes Sakuretsus in addition to MF.
Aximil
Eh, I have one of each in my deck.

Opponent Summon JD pay 1000 blow up, MF go bye bye but TR can chain on so [b']JD's cost was almost worthelsess[/b] No. If they hit any other cards, it was worth it. Hell, even if they didn't, mill a wulf at the end of the turn and you're still up'd in advantage.
Psycho Shocker Android
Mirror Force pffft. Overrated by noobs. (not saying it's bad, I play it lol) Today it's lack of chainability means it needs some kind of protection. You can't run it alone anymore. Paired with solemn judgement it still does the job. Exiro
This card does not prove that there is something wrong with this meta. The fact that it's not being run while it's allowed proves it. Anyway, TR is NOT better than MF.It's just a better choice in this format.

.:pyramid:.
the reason people now prefer threatening is that it takes away a phase of your opponents turn, which is more important in this meta
