I think that PokeSav is unlegit hacking even though that ARDS codes themselves are Legit. Getting the Azure Flute thru a hack is way different than getting an Arceus through PokeSav. If anyone gets to use POKESAV' date=' NOT ARDS, than I am dropping out.

Why would it matter, if the PokeSav hacks have legal stats and moves? I, and many others, are able to create Pokemon on PokeSav that, when placed side-by-side with truly legit Pokemon, are totally indistinguishable from the real thing. So I'm not sure why you have your panties in a bunch.

 

It can make ANY Pokemon with ANY stats and ANY movesets. That is way too many "ANY"s and ARDS only makes Pokemon with random stats. ARDS is considered LEGIT and POKESAV is considered UNLEGIT. And UNLEGiT PKMN is considered an unfair advantage which is why I have my panties in a bunch.

 

You can train Pokemon in the real game, without any hacks whatsoever, that can have any stat that a given Pokemon can possibly legally have. If a PokeSav'd pogey doesn't exceed those limits, then why would it matter where it came from?

 

Because it would not be random. If the SP ATK for a Darkrai is between 400~500 (for example), in the game, it would be totally random. With PokeSavv, you can auto put it to 500 or EXCEED 500. With ARDS Darkrai's, it is also random, not chosen. The only way I would be at ease is if you hacked a level 70 or lower PKMN and TRAINED it to 100. Keeping the stats and movepool legit, of course.

 

Except that, by resetting the game over and over again, eventually, you would end up with a Darkrai that had the exact IVs and Nature you desired. All PokeSav would do in that instance would be to eliminate the time it took.

I'm banning PokeSavv, Chaos Pudding. read the rules. If you try to use them, you will be DQ'd from the tourney and I will personally neg you. Anyways, this club wasn't meant for that argument. If Chaos Pudding has Pokemon that fit into the rules by skill, I'll allow it. Tournament Ragistration ends 9/28 at 11:59 P.M.

May I add one more rule.

No action replays aloud dureing the battle.

Except for items/getting #'s 491-493. Besides' date=' I've tried to use it and it doesn't work.[hr']

The Tourney will begin 9/30 and I'll post who will be battiling who here on the first post.

 

I've stated multiple times I won't use PokeSav, but even if I did, you wouldn't be able to tell.

How can you prove some one is using Pokesav?

 

Unless the did somethnig along the lines of giving it a move it can't learn, theirs no way to tell.

Pokémon that are seen as too powerful for standard play. This could be due to massive stat total, insane movepool, or power to overcentralize the metagame if they were to remain in OU (often, all 3 of these reasons apply).

Doesn't matter. My Garchomp just got bumped up to ubers, and guess what, I'm going to replace him.

If ubers are allowed than only around 20 different pokemon will be seen. If they aren't over 40 will be seen. I'd rather give people the abiltiy to use a wider selection of pokemon than limt them to those that can compete in the uber tier, which again is only like 20. The reason is that unless your really good, or your opponent is crap most pokemon can not compete at an uber level. If some one chooses to use pokemon that aren't in ubers they will almost always lose meaning, again, they will be forced to use only a limited number of pokemon, which isn't fair and isn't that much fun because their isn't a lot of variety.

Doesn't work since some pokemon must have a stat over 400 that isn't HP such as Lugia

That pretty much excludes any ubers with Natures that are beneficial to a stat that is naturally high. For instance, Deoxys Attack Forme's absolute minimum Atk when it has a beneficial nature is 401. That's with 0 IV and 0 EV in Atk, mind you. I would suggest either allowing all Pokemon, or disallow Ubers. Arbitrary stat restrictions are pointless and only serve to frustrate those who already have teams made, like me.

This. Ever since Chomp got bumped up, the OU meta has really opened up. Now you don't need to carry 2/3 Pokemon that have to survive switching in on an Outrage.

I'm personally running Choice Scarf Darkrai and Focus Sash Smeargle. It should prove to be quite funny.
