The Stars

Goodbye, love...

Didn't know what time it was, the lights were low, oh, oh,

I leaned back on my radio, oh, oh,

Some cat was layin' down some rock 'n' roll, "Lotta soul", he said.

Then the loud sound did seem to faid, ai, aid,

Came back like a slow voice on a wave of phase, ai, aise,

That weren't no D.J., that was hazy cosmic jive

There's a Starman waiting in the sky

He'd like to come and meet us

But he thinks he'd blow our minds

There's a Starman waiting in the sky

He's told us not to blow it

'Cause he knows it's all worth while

He told me:

"Let the children lose it,

Let the children use it,

Let all the children boogie"

I had to phone someone, so I picked on you, hoo, hoo,

Hey, that's far out. So you heard him too, oo, oo,

Switch on the T.V., we may pick him up on Channel Two

Look out your window, I can see his light, ai, ight,

If we can sparkle, he may land tonight, ai, ight,

Don't tell your poppa or he'll get us locked up in fright

There's a Starman waiting in the sky

He'd like to come and meet us

But he thinks he'd blow our minds

There's a Starman waiting in the sky

He's told us not to blow it

'Cause he knows it's all worth while

well...... mystery

i suppose the future..

cause its like the stars....

its a mystery beyond mankind's understanding..

Wha-? Stars?

Hold on.

You did not just say Stars are a mystery beyond our understanding.

Seriously. Don't try and be deep if you're below the age of puberty.

Get a better level of knowledge and try again. =).

On topic, though, I'm guessing our race will die out as a result of stars.

In 13 Million years or so, when the Earth orbits into this section of extremely close-bound stars. Yeah.

We spin into one + Supernova =/= survivable conditions.

So, I guess I think about that. =/.

Okay.

1) I apologize for assuming your age, but you've got to admit, you're posting style reflected that of a 12-year old.

2) We know the generic process of stars. We know they contain Atomic particles that get loosed into the universe once the star's died, or become a supernova.

We continue to study stars because they can be a threat, as well as the simple advancement in knowledge our race can get.

Humans never really think they know enough.

Simply put, it's like saying why do we continue studying animals, if we already know so much?

Likewise with stars.
