「tea.leaf」
No-one is going to Log off for the ideas to be implemented. Logging off will not change the desisions. Again I agree with a fair few of these ideas but I urge people not to believe that Logging off is going to change anything. Hear that tea leaf? Still wanna say I have no supporters? Like I was saying' date=' Dan may be right about some of these ideas, but what is the point of unbanning people if they did something bad. I have had personal experiences with Draco on YCM, I should know. He got banned for a reason.[/quote'] Nothing is going to happen if you don't do anything about it. Nothing is going to happen because none of you people have any God damn balls. If you want to help create a better world for you and your friends you'd shut up and log off with the rest of us. You don't see the corruption and mismanagement; you don't see the innocent being killed. You don't see anything because the administration makes it so. I've been a moderator, I would know. I have seen the other side, I have BEEN with the other side. Let me tell you, first-hand, that things aren't pretty. If you don't support our cause, then kindly leave our protest be. If you don't support the future welfare of you and your friends here on this site, then kindly leave our protest be. We are people have seen the truth, seen the evidence, seen the bannings that were so unwarranted. We want to bring change to this site so that tomorrow will bring a brighter future. Believe who you will, it's your choice, and I don't care. But if you are not going to help us, then kindly leave our protest be. Remember that J-Max and Falling are the very forces we are fighting against; it's only natural for them to oppose us. Here's the real reason why Draco was banned, courtesy of Crab Helmet. Two moderators wanted Draco banned, and the deed was done after they reported it to a super mod.
Lazer Yoshi
^^ If Crab were Demoted, it doesn't stop him from bringing Teh LULZ.Falling Pizza has a Point, because the Internet isn't a Workplace, unless you ARE at a Workplace. Falling Pizza, in my Opinion, would be the Greatest Mod EVER if he Kept this up.But it's just a Forum. I suppose I exploded. This Site IS starting to Go out of Hand, but if YCMaker just showed up, JUST enough time to Tidy Things up, maybe that'll help a BIT.
J-Max
Yep. I won't deny that I was one of the Mods who suggested it. Draco had broken his fragile Parole here.
Guest
The purpose of a strike in real life is that the duties normally performed by those striking workers do not get performed, leading to serious problems until the strike ends. On a forum, there are no duties, so attempting to translate the real-life tactic of striking onto the internet is silly. That said, several - not all, but several - of these suggestions are perfectly valid. Others are not. In particular, the ones relating to post count are just petty. It's post count, people. Nobody with any sense cares. Here's the real reason why Draco was banned' date=' courtesy of Crab Helmet. Two moderators wanted Draco banned, and the deed was done after they reported it to a super mod.[/quote'] I said nothing of the sort. What actually happened was that there was a group consensus to ban Draco. Once said consensus was reached, two moderators tried to ban Draco, as per the majority decision, but were unable to, so they called in a Super who banned him. Your description of it makes it sound like a vigilante action by three moderators, which is incorrect.

Guest
Yoshi no Frunk will still be the best and demoting crab nothing accomplished except an angry crab. Don't be ridiculous. I don't take the internet seriously enough to be angry over being demodded.
Lazer Yoshi
Frunk left for Good. Pizza isn't on Much, but he does help a Bit, not THAT much, but a bit.Crab's always Angry, somewhat. However, Demote ANYONE, and you'll get on the bad side of at least one Member.

Lazer Yoshi
Okay, then let's get to That. Card Trade should be back. I agree with some rules about it. You must be 18 or Older, and Prove it. You could trade over Ebay. You get to know Members more, and perhaps make more Friends. If they don't give you the Card? Fine. Ban them, and THEN get the item. Lazer Yoshi
Well, maybe if they are Younger, their Parents can help out.And wait until YCMaker sees this. Do you think if we Email him, he'll notice? Probably not. He's too busy watching Cookie Monster sings Chocolate Rain.Crab, THEN the Item gets mailed and Paid for ETC. But the Member recieves a Ban, not Perma, but somewhat long, like a Week or so.
J-Max
A Forum is supposed to be about fun. Trading Cards on here is as bad as Warez Sites. You're giving up VIRTUAL POINTS to get a REAL CARD. No logic in that. And there is no way people will risk giving Real Money for them. Card Trade should be eliminated, It was a Beta run and failed. Lazer Yoshi
....Okay then. I guess the System won't work, now that I ACTUALLY thought about it.But can we get back to Danilus' Ideas? The Idea for Speical Section for Speical Members is great, as Speical Members need something better than just having Reps and Stars.^ Now that would contribute Fun.EDIT: You got me Crab. Nice one XD
Protoman
lol good one crab but a VIP forum is a good idea though give some members more credit but don't make them ahve to have 5000 post though
Guest
I've been on sites with VIP forums before - I've even been in the VIP forums themselves - and such forums usually either end up dead or become infected with bad members until they have lost their original purpose. One of the worst cases was a site that created a forum called Iron Gate under one prominent member, which was shortly followed by a Bronze Gate and an Orichalcum Gate under two others. Because of this, I tend to refer to VIP forums as Gates, as that was one of the first site where I gained access ot a VIP forum. (And later gained my own - Orichalcum Gate was mine.) The Backroom is a notable exception, but it has special properties that other Gates lack. All applicants need to be notable tourney hosts that have made significant contributions to the metagame, and must submit a lengthy argument regarding some aspect of the game before entering. Even then, the Backroom has an additional advantage over most Gates in that it has a specific purpose in terms of the game - unlike most Gates, which are essentially social clubs for the elites. (No, I'm not a member of the backroom, in case you were wondering.) LUE on GameFAQs is said to be another exception, but this may partly be due to all member influx being completely cut off years ago - GameFAQs has one Gate for each userlevel, and every last one is basically dead. J-Max
VIP Rooms may also trigger the jealousy trip "I CAN ACCESS THE VIP ROOM! YOU CAN'T!" Then watch as the insulted member starts to Spam thier way up to the Target amount. There would also be a Biased thing as the Mods would only pick thier favorite members.
