I expect this thread to get locked, and I expect to either be banned/have my warning level raised. But I need to speak out.

 

I may not know much about YCM. I was not here when our current Mods were newbs. I was not here when Card Trade was active. I was not here during 2007. I only joined in August. But my knowledge is phenomanal. I may only live in the CC, SHOP, and General section, but I know much more. For my days here at YCM, spam levels have been increasing like crazy. To add to that- screw this. Here is my list.

 

A. Spamming, spamming, spamming. Every section is spamming. I think that a SPAM section would suit this site well, so we can redirect all spamming somewhere else. We need to stop this. I am getting annoyed of 1 outta every 2 threads being spammy. People may say that this is an overused and dead topic, but it is not! Spamming is worse than it was in August, early September, etc. And it is not just cuz we have more members. Have of the newbs out there don't even post. And half of the newbs who do post have better grammar than most 5-stars on YCM.

 

B. Mods. We love them, we hate them, they rule us. But what are they? YCMaker is choosing new Mods to replace the banned and bad Mods. But what is the point? How can we be sure that these Mods are any good? If YCMaker made me a Mod, how would you know I am not corrupted? By my previous posts? Get real. On AIM, I don't have the slightest good grammar. And many Mods have done bad things or have hurt YCM in a way.

 

C. Banning. Many members have been banned. Normally, I do not bring up any names. This is a normal thread. SOME PEOPLE have gotten into bad relationships with me, and even though I had never reported them, I felt happy when they got banned. And people are stirring up petitions to get 'em unbanned? Puh-lezz. They deserved to be banned. They must've done something bad.

 

D. New ideas. Every time I skim through the Comments/Suggestions section, this is all that I see in terms of threads.

Seriously, no one wants to here your "new ideas". 100% of them are old, overused, boring, never gonna happen ideas.

 

Now, I know I may get banned for this, but I really wanted to voice my opinion. If I do not get banned for this, than that is great. I still wanna be a part of YCM, but in Point C, I will not appeal my ban. I will not stir up rumors to get myself unbanned. I am sorry for posting this thread, I just needed to speak up. And for all of you skepticals out there, this is the real DarkDragonX. No fake, no phony, all me.

 

Again, I am really sorry for posting this thread, and I hope that the people of YCM do not ban me. Thank you for your time.

A) Spamming is like n00bs. Its generally against the rules, but it happens.

Just be there to stop it.

 

B) What gives you the right to "know" someone is good? Best leave that to the admin and his bro to decide. That is what is good.

 

C) For the sake of control, and some are not for very long. Others are just there, accept it.

 

D) What else do you suggest people do? Leave it there.

seriously, if you want things to get better, the best thing you can hope for is to become a mod yourself and then try to change it from the inside. waiting on the outside like this will accomplish nothing.

A. If you think that creating a spam forum will eliminate spam threads on other forums, then you obviously know absolutely nothing whatsoever of human nature.

 

B. Are you implying that the content of every post anyone makes on a forum is invalidated by their grammar on instant messengers? Unless you honestly feel that AIM grammar is of vital importance to the management of this site, you're not really saying anything other than "appointing any moderator at any time under any circumstances comes with an inherent risk". Thanks, we already knew that. Oh, and if you actually do honestly feel that AIM grammar is of vital importance to the management of the site, you are not qualified to discuss these things. (Incidentally, YCMaker generally does not make the serious decisions about who should or shouldn't be a moderator; that is a task largely performed by a parliament of moderators, headed by Falling Pizza, and in which YCMaker exercises veto power but otherwise generally leaves to others.)

 

C. "They must've done something bad" is a terrible argument; it's like saying that Iraq must have had weapons of mass destruction, or else certain countries wouldn't have invaded it. (Note that this does not necessarily mean that I'm arguing that all members in question should be unbanned; to claim the ability to derive that from my statement is to fall victim to the fallacy of argumentum ad logicam. I stay out of these arguments on the General forum because nobody's going to be convinced either way by anything I say here anyhow.)

 

D. ...and what are you suggesting we do with these stupid ideas? When they need to be locked, they are locked. Beyond that, there's not much we can do without resorting to mass mind control.

Okay. I have been here way longer than you, and I think the site is perfectly fine. Members get banned, because of what they did, not because mods WANT to ban them, but they have to. Something almost exactly like this thread was made yesterday <_

Personal Grudges on the other hand, just insue random chaos.

 

Give me, no better yet, come up with one good reason why you should complain that myself, and TO are bad mods.

 

I would suggest not using Ego, or not posting as an example for either one of those.

As we have been through this many times, you dont need to post to be a mod.

And complaining about someones ego, is just a personal problem.
