Felix
I've decided to start up a disscution on EV spreads for Pokemon. Now don't worry this isn't a noobie topic it's more of a debate (I don't want people asking what EVs are they take a long time to explane). The thing that I wanna talk about is why some people think the max is 508 and some people think it's 510. Are they rounding it up? I just don't know. I'm of the oppinion that it's 508 Max so you can have 252, 252 and 4 or mix them up a bit so long as they all add up to 508. What's your oppinion on the subject? 2sick4u
You play Netbattle, I'm guessing. Unfortunately enough, the max total of Ev's is 510, whilst the maximum in each Ev is 252. Thus, you can have 252, 252 and 6. However, on net battle, all the Ev's go up in four's, resulting the '6' being missed. =/.

So basically, you can only have 2 maxed stats? Lame. <_<
Felix
I know that every 4 counts for 1 point. So what your saying is that it's 510 but that extra remainder of 2 doesn't count for any thing. Well whatever I still own any way HAAA!!

Felix
That is true Judgement Dragon. I wasn't going to bring up IVs though cos I figured that apart from me there aren't all that many people that take them into consideration. Mr. Judgment Dragon
I dont even know how to calculate IV's until I EV a Pokemon to Level 100. Ive sorta mastered EV training recently. A Mew I have was able to hit 325 Speed thanks to EV training 3 off maximum.
Felix
That's a pretty good IV of 28 then. It's really hard to get good IVs on legendarys but it's quite easy when you know the best ways for non Legends.
Mr. Judgment Dragon
Its especially hard when those Legendaries are from someone else or given out at events.
MasterOfMagicians
EV training and IVs are too much of a headache for me to bother to think about. While they are important to completely descimate your opponent in battle, it takes too d*** long to train them. I can understand the importance, but when I can train 10 pokemon in the time it takes to EV train 1...it seems like a waste of time. However, I will research and look into EV training, and possibly finding a faster way to do it.
Mr. Judgment Dragon
I just look up what Pokemon offer EV's for what stat and find an area they appear. There's also those Power Items (Power Lens, Power Bracer, Power Belt, Power Band, Power Anklet, I know there's one more but I cant be stuffed looking it up) that speed up EV training, basically cutting it in half. Once the EV's are all maxed, you can battle anywhere that gives you fast EXP. Its not that hard when you think about it. Pokemon that offer Sp. ATK EV's that I battle against (usually if I have a Level 50 or higher): GloomRoselia Both appear in the area above the Resort Area. ATK EV's WeepinbellScyther Same area as Gloom and Roselia. SPD EV's FearowRaticate Both appear on the way to Stark Mountain DEF EV's Graveller Only option I can think of at the moment. Outside Stark Mountain. SP DEF EV's Tentacruel On the way to the Pokemon League. HP EV's Bibarrel Only one that comes to mind at the moment. All those Pokemon give a pretty large amount of EXP (about 800+ w/o Trade and over 1000 w/ Trade) and combined with the Power Items, basically 1 Battle = 4 EV's for that stat. It isnt all that hard to EV Train. Thats how I can raise Sweepers and all that so quickly. Specs Sweeper Azelf for example. At LV. 100. Sp. ATK over 360SPD about 327 Keep in mind IV's are not that easy to calculate with Legendaries but I think impressive none-the-less.
