Tickle Me Emo
***CAUTION SPOILER ALERT*** I just got home from Saw V. It was good, mostly background story rather than gory games. What the game was was there were five people all involved in the burning of a building and the murder of 8 people in the process. One was a journalist on the incident, one was the woman who was in charge of the building, one was the woman who sold the building, one was the only firefighter to show up, and the last one was the guy who actually burned the building for free heroin. The opening scene shows a guy strapped to a table, shirtless. He had a small game, he needed to reach over to some levers and remove them before a pendulum blade slices him in half, 30 seconds before it reaches him and 30 seconds after till it slices through him. However in order to "win" he will have his hands crushed. He was a criminal sentenced to 25 years in prison but got out after 5. Even though he "wins" he still dies from the pendulum. Next is a scene where a police officer goes in and finds a dead Jigsaw. However there is a tape and the guy doesnt follow the tape, gets attacked and trapped with his head in a container filling with water. He uses a pen to stab a hole in his throat which allows him to breath again. He gets out with this wound and is taken off the jigsaw case. After he believes the guy in charge is somehow linked to jigsaw. Now is the first part of the main "game", which has all 5 people strapped up by a bungee wire. There were 2 blades up under the bungee that, if it pulls back all teh way, will cut the persons head clean off. After 15 minutes explosives in the room will explode. There are 5 keys across from the "contestants". However here are the catches. Once the first wire is pulled a timer for 60 seconds starts. When it hits zero all the wires would retract and anyone still in their collar loses their head. Also when one person goes for the keys the other cords are pulled back to keep all 5 for going for the keys at once. Basically its guaranteed to kill at least one person. After all said and done, the firefighter is murdered. For a little while its mostly the guy now just searching for evidence to prove his theory. He goes to all the murders and puts them together, figuring out that the first game in the opening scene was from years ago and Jigsaw wasnt behind it but the chief of the jigsaw investigation homself. Ever since he worked with jigsaw. The next part we are down to 4 players. the building owner grabbed all 5 keys from the first room just to be safe. In this room there are like 10 jars on the ceiling and inside are keys. only 3 keys will open cages to protect the contestants from bombs in the room. The newsletter guy tries to kill someone by keeping him from getting the key. The woman who owns the building knocks him out and the other three get into cells. He explodes and they enter room 3. Part 3 they have 15 minutes to open 5 locks. Each is opened if an electrical wire is touching the water. Unfortunately they arent able to reach so the building owner kills the woman that sold the building and uses her as a conductor. The room is done quickly. They enter the final room, the heroin addict and the owner. The final thing is to fill up a beaker that holds exactly 10 pints of blood. However the human body shuts down if it goes below 5, and there is only 10 pints total in the human body. They need to put their hands into a razor blade in a machine to get the blood out. There are 5 slots, which is when they realize that they just lost the game. The woman looks at the keys and realizes they were all the same, one key could have opened all the locks. The cages had enough room in each for 2 people. Each person coulda held one cable and taken a small shock. Then each person could have only given 2 pints of blood. They had instead turned on eachother and lost the game. They decide to try and give off 5 pints each and try to get out that way. In the end they have lost to much blood and both die. The detective who stabbed his throat earlier finds hes completely correct. However long story short he gets tricked and dies. The ending blew ass and isnt worth getting into. It was really good up until then. Overall rating: 3.5/5 due to teh terrible ending.

Aelsthla-Mental
I haven't actually SEEN any of the Saw, but i've been interested in them and know the basic story behind it. And it sounds good. Aside from as you said, the ending. For most of the story I was like 'This doesn't sound like Jigsaw, he often has a way for them ALL to survive, although they rarely, if ever, do.' But the ending made it all clear to me, awesome plot twist :). So yeah, thanks!
Father Wolf
5 was epic! loved every part of the movie.(made up for how lame 4 was) the end was perfect. Hoffman completed his mission. hes no longer suspicious of being Johns assistant and is free to continue the jigsaw killings undetected. if u where rooting for the detective u where rooting for the wrong side all along.note: im a huge saw fan. Is there any possibility of a sixth part? they signed a 6 movie deal so yes, 5 set up for the final one.
