[DISC] Needle Worm

Recommended Posts

Just because I barely joined the site' date=' doesn't mean I learned how to play the game the very same day. I just used Royal Command as an example. I didn't say it was the best way to stop said Needle Worm.

I say "rookie" not because of your post count but rather because of the content of your post.

It's not that Tele-DAD and Gladiator Beasts don't need it; it's that it would be bloody stupid to even consider including this card in them, since it invariably helps the opponent unless you dedicate your entire deck to decking out the opponent - something that Tele-DAD and Gladiator Beasts quite evidently do not do. Royal Command is such a terrible card that it should not even have been mentioned, especially compared to cards like Nobleman of Crossout or any card in the entire game that can destroy face-down monsters.

Royal Command was the first thing that popped into my head (not to mention I was looking at the card in my collection, at the time I wrote that response). I do understand that there are many better alternatives to neuter Needle Worm, like Nobleman, as you mentioned.

However' date=' I'd be the ONLY person that would try to incorporate it in the current meta and hope it would work.

Yes.

This is because you are a rookie.

Also, any argument over the best way to counter this card is automatically trumped by the fact that there is no logical reason to even consider trying to counter this card.

If you build a deck with a set of Book of Eclipse and Moon, and combine it with cards that make them draw as well, combined with Card Destrution, Magical Stone excavation, and counter traps with stall, you have a solid deck for today, but most duelists are too scared not to netdeck to test it out and make it better... :(

Why is it that everyone just seems to take one look at a card and say it's trash if it isn't bluntly obvious that it generates advantage!!!!!! Look beyond the obvious see its true use. Although no matter what I say someones going to flame me anyway but still this plus more mill against lightsworn or even against/use with macro deck...

You intend to counter a Lightlord deck through reverse-mill? You intend to counter a Macro deck by removing its cards from play?

Have fun moving your opponent closer to victory.

Yes' date=' it does help your opponent to generate advantage by giving them free Wulves. Why do you want that?

If you're arguing that it gives you advantage, you don't know what card advantage means.

No I didn't mean that it could generate edvantage I ment that no one likes a card unless they can see without a doubt that it will always generate advantage for them...

Indeed. That is why nobody ever uses Snipe Hunter. Ever. Or Dark Grepher. Definitely not.

The duelist that won the last World Championship used Gladiator Beast Andal. He probably knew that Gladiator Beast Andal wouldn't generate any advantage for him.

Needle Worm isn't a bad card, but it's not a good card in a format where Dark Armed Dragon decks and Lightsworn decks are top-tier.

Holy misunderstadings batman! I wasn't saying that Neddle worm is bad I was saying that not many people give more than one look at this card because they can't see any use in general...

Needle Worm is not a good card.

Get over it.

Maybe I made a mistake somewere because I never meant to say that needle worm is a good card I was just trying to make one simple coment about the idea that we need more players who consider every card in the game and see if the card there looking at can actually serve a purpose. I didn't mean that needle worm was good and I wasn't trying to ignore the fact that there are plenty of good cards that get you no direct advantage!

My mind, thankfully, is free of the dense smog that pollutes this forum.

Some things are true and some things are not; to claim that everything in the world is simply a matter of perspective is foolish. A Needle Worm-based Mill Deck will not have even the most remove chance of being able to take on decks like Tele-DAD. It's not a matter of perspective or courage; it's a simple matter of how well the game is understood.

Also, you'll note that the Matrix is set in a world where you can go BEYOND THE IMPOSSIBLE simply through the force of your brain. The real world does not have this reality-defying property. Stop living in a dream.
