The D/P/Pt Tournament

[align=center]Yes, it is finally here! Welcome to the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum tournament. Here, you can battle other Trainer's around the world, gain experienced, and also receive prizes. A lot of prizes. This tourney is a great place to show off your Pokemon skills, and get tips from the person you lost to! It is easy to join, and even easier to battle! Here the the current rules.

 

Rules

 

1.) No hacked, PokeSavved, EV hacked, IV hacked or special bred Pokemon.

2.) ARDS are not permitted to be on during the battle.

3.) Pokedex numbers 491 to 493 are allowed in battle if gotten through hacked events.

4.) EV and IV trained Pokemon are allowed.

5.) Post the results here, or just PM them to me.

6.) The current battle status is best out of 3 battles.

7.) You cannot choose your opponent.

8.) Bribes are not accepted nor taken.

9.) There is no entry fee as of now.

10.) You can donate prizes for the winner to receive.

11.) Ubers can/cannot be allowed, depending on battle status.

12.) Follow all of the Clauses listed.

13.) Do not lie about the winner or loser.

 

Battle Status - Ubers

 

There are a few rules for battle status. First, let's start with Uber Pokemon. The uber list for D/P/Pt is here.

There are three different Uber statuses you can use. You and your opponent must decide on one of these to use during the battle. Make sure both Trainer's are aware, as rulebreakers get disqualified.

 

1.) All Uber: Each Trainer can have up to 6 ubers on their team.

2.) Semi-Uber: Each Trainer can have up to 3 ubers on their team.

3.) Non-Uber: Each Trainer can have up to 0 ubers on their team.

 

Any Pokemon that was not listed on that URL is considered "Non-Uber" and can be used in either of the Uber Statuses. Please, make sure one of these is decided upon. If the Trainer(s) cannot come to a definitive, the "Semi-Uber" automatically takes place.

 

Battle Status - Clauses

 

1.) Ubers are allowed, restrictively.

2.) Item Clause is ON. [only one of each item on any Pokemon]

3.) "Leftovers" is the only rulebreaker for Item Clause.

4.) Sleep Clause is OFF. [more than one Pokemon can be asleep]

5.) Species Clause is ON. [only one of each Pokemon]

6.) Accuracy Clause is OFF. [you can use Accuracy raising moves]

7.) Evasion Clause is OFF. [you cannot use Evasion raising moves]

8.) EvaRacy Clause is ON. [you cannot use Accuracy decreasing moves]

9.) Berry Clause is ON. [you can use Berries as items]

10.) Switch Clause is ON. [you can switch out Pokemon whenever]

11.) Disconnected Clause is OFF. [you cannot disconnect or "Run"]

12.) Shiny Clause is OFF. [you can use Shiny Pokemon]

13.) Choice Clause is OFF. [you can use Choice items]

14.) Stat Clause if ON. [you can use Stat Raising moves]

15.) Voice Chat is ON/OFF. [Voice Chat is up to the Trainer(s) discretion]

Match-Up's

 

Once we get at least 8 Trainers, I can start match-ups. They are chosen at random; slips of paper out of a hat. You must battle that certain Trainer.

First Place: 4 Reps

Second Place: 2 Reps

 

Other than that, I have no other prizes to gift. In addition, each participant will receive a coupon to my shop.

You should have used Pokemon that would have actually been worth the trouble of breeding. And I refuse to join unless you implement Sleep Clause.

Sleep Clause needs to be implemented. And how dare you presume that you know how much experience these people have when it comes to Pokemon. I've been playing competitively (on and off) for around 2 years now, but you probably wouldn't expect it. And Sleep Talk doesn't take that much experience as it does prediction.

Well, it seems to me that I know more about Sleep Talk. Because, from what I'm gathering, you assume that Sleep Talk is on 4-6 members of each team. 1 Sleep Talker cannot stop Darkrai, especially if it's an obvious one, like Giratina.

"2 sleep talker's are usually needed to stop a Sleep inducer, such as Darkrai. One of these has to wall Special Attacks easily, and be able to resist or be immune to fighting. Focus Punch is a common attack used on Darkrai. Giratina could be used as the "Walling" Sleep Talker. It can resist most Dark Pulses, and is immune to fighting. You will also need a "Fighting" Sleep Talker. The range for this is too broad, so I will only go into one. Snorlax has the ability use the the Rest/Sleep Talk combo. One Body Slam could easily defeat the opposing Darkrai. So if you know a Sleep inducer is coming, make sure to have 2 Talkers ready."
