people don't see it that way' date=' people see the war as heroic and brave because men and women risk their lives, so maybe since like gay people aren't risking their lives, people don't take it as serious

[/quote']

What?!

I risk my life everyday just by walking out my door, as does everyone else.

Going into to war, doesn't show heroicness, it shows stupidity, and another way to make money.

It has nothing to do with being brave.

I'm just saying it's the view of most people because they are not the people who are being discriminated.... They have nothing to relate to. It's just an opinion' date=' and sadly, too many people don't understand what is reeally happening in the world

War is just here to lower the population, and increase jobs.

Do you ever stfu? You know, try not being all "I'm Mistah contraversay!" in every thread you post in?

^And no, that wasn't even close to be related to how you're addressing war, before you go all assuming that it is.

War isn't intended to decrease population. If it was, no sane-president would declare it. Nor agree to it.

Neither is it about jobs. It provides job's; but for one to think that occupation is war's sole purpose is incredibly inept.

For war is the greatest waste of resource I can think of. Steel; Production; Money. All to which war consumes.

It might of used to be about Freedom; I guess. Never really looked into the motivation of it.

However. By today's standards, war's all about resource accumulation. Social stability.

Eg: Let's say China cut's off it's import/export business with America. What happens? America loses about 1/6th of it's economical funding. As a result, America has f*ck all it can independently do to help itself.

What does it do? It does what you could expect. It asks allies. Like Australia; European countries etc. for assistance. If we decline, as you'd expect, for countries like Australia also thrive on China's industrial business, America has to declare war with China.

No, not go to war, only declare it. America does so in hoping that a treaty can be formed in order for China to re-supply America with it's business.

If China still declines; you can be pretty sure America will cease to be a super-power. It'll have to go to war with China.

All over resource. Money; what ever. It's still resource.

I know, I said it was a waste of resource. Which makes me also say that War more blindly followed than anything else.

Still.

Population and occupation have nothing to do with it. Only an idiot would believe so.

Since, you know, based upon your logic, presidential meetings would be as followed:

"Mister President. Suffice to say, our countries population has hit the 400 million mark. Also; Unemployment rates are high. Besides doing something logical, what do you recommend?"

"Thank you soldier. As for idea's, I'm all out."

".. Well. We've got war."

"What? Even though the average amount of war causalities are low by today's population standards; and the job service as well as employment benefits for Soldiers are slim? Plus, people express more cowardice nowadays?"

"Yeah."

"Sweet. I'm in."

I want to thank you for those who have shown their support for the military across all nations. This is a very trying time for the world, and your military members can use all the support and positive influences they can get.

I hope to serve my country as best I can for as long as I can, and I hope that all of you who are not fortunate enough to join your nation's military ranks can continue to provide support for the troops who risk their lives every day for your freedom and your rights.

For those who do not agree with the war, or who think the war is stupid, I can say only this. The men and women who risk their lives every day know why we are over there. It is to prevent tyrants from terrorising their families, and yours, and maintain peace and tranquility across their nation.

I really didn't think we should even be in this war as right now and all wars are stupid, but a few weeks ago I went to see the Vietnam Wall. And after seeing how many people died in that war, it got me thinking about how much these soldiers/army love their country and they will do anything to help it. My cousin's dad is/was an soldier that fought in the war in war right now. He lives in DC, so we go up there every now and then.

I show my respect to all soldiers in every country/nation. I know I would never be brave enough to go out in a war, so I salute you for that.

^ Umm... Ok, and I though my posts were long. I cannot argue with that, but I can argue with these:

Wars are stupid!!!But' date='our ancestros couldn't make a deal in another way,...

Let's just hope we will be able to make a deal without any wars,...

Respect to those who died in WW1 or any other war.

[/quote']

The world doesn't need war... War is for douche bags... But I do send my respects for those whom have died.

War is necessary. Horrible' date=' but necessary. It allows us to root-out those who would do others harm on a [b']huge[/b] scale, with (usually) permanent results. WWI was kinda rediculous, but WWII stopped a facist/socialist totalitarian dictator (I know that that statement was redundant, but it was for emphasis) who ordered millions upon millions of innocent people executed. This current war allowed us to remove a similar leader from power. War stimulates economy and invention. Without war, we would be extict.

WWI was terrible' date=' and so was WWII and so will be WWIII and WWIV and WWV and so on.

[/quote']

Wow, a person who actually knows what the definition of a "World War" is (I am tired of explaning how we are in World War III+).

Yeah. I would say that going to somewhere you've never been to kill people and get shot at would require no bravery as well.

Also, war doesn't make money. It costs money. Lots of money. It costs.

And walking outside the door isn't risking your life. If you got into a car-accident on the way to work, it wouldn't be because you risked your life, it'd just be because you went outside and drove a car at the wrong time. Risking your life is knowingly putting your life in a dangerous situation for the benefit of yourself or others. Not being killed by an unexpected force on a normal day of your normal life.

I'm glad to see that so many people care, i wrote a report of the 3 last survivers today. As that war was terrible, i will assure you that WWIII will be the last, as the weppon's designed for WWIII are deadly, and also designed to end the world, basicly, if war brakes out like that a third time, it's no more Earth...and more importantly YCM, but...yeah, those of you who have heard of Death-cpm. #1, you will know how the world will end...

*ahem*

I really don't see the reason why tho, the World Wars didn't really involve you, and you shouldn't really care about stuff that haven't involved you in any way.

And don't go saying that I really should pay respects to the people who died in the war, because I won't, I don't care for them in anyway.

And I know, if my grandparents/their parents etc. etc. would have died in the war, I wouldn't even be here, typing this post, living my own life, as I don't even care, better of not being born.

You do realize that alot of those soldiers who fought in the world wars died to make it so that you have the freedom to say those things. I wont force my views on you, but I will give my side of the argument.

As I see it, hed we not fought in WWI, we would have been either overrun by Germans and I would be typing in German normally rather than to mess with my English teacher, or we would have been left alone and all of Europe would have been either Germany or Russia.

In WWII, had we not fought Germany, we would all be Nazi's, the Jewish religion would be removed from all society, and I would still be typing in German.

Had we fought Germany and not Japan, Japan would have used their Nuclear Bomb (which it has been confirmed they had, Germany admitted to giving them their plans for it) and I would be typing in Japanese.

The soldiers in Korea fought to save millions of South Koreans.

The soldiers in Vietnam... okay, I don't know enough about that war to say anything

The soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan fought to rid terrorists from ruling over there, and attacking over here.

You may have not known them personally, but they fought for you. I think that is a damn good enough reason to pay your respect.

A few things wrong with that post,

1.) you can't make lots of money by being a soldier.

2.) war is heroic, only the bravest people fight for our freedom, to show that America is the land of the free, to keep our land the land of oppurtunity, the land of liberty, and the home of the whopper. ^_^

3.) You barely risk death by walking out a door, or at least where I live.

They didn't fight for me, I didn't even exist during that time, how can you fight for something that doesn't even exist?

You don't get it, do you? They did fight for you, and your freedom, and your oppurtunity, your freedom, and the burger king whopper. Aren't you happy you have this freedom? Are you? Or do you take advantage of the people who lived and died in war for your rights? Not saying you do take advantage, but I think you might.....

Just saying things in a circle and insulting them a little doesn't persuade.

And I guess I am trying to persuade.

But if ~Els-kun~ is strong enough in his/her beliefs (which I completely respect), then persuading him/her will be a trial.

Back on topic:

Would you just brush off someone as easily if they took a bullet for you right in front of you as you do to people who travel halfway across the world to do the exact same thing?
