Bloodrun
Blackwind' date=' what your saying is, that you can tell anyone what you want, and they can do it. Well lets lookat this: I cant eat an apple because I have to chew it, but I dont want to chew, so im just gonna tell the apple to chagne into apple sauce. What im saying is, you can voice your opinion, but we (being moderators) do not have to, on whatever circumstance, change becuase you dont want us to.[/quote'] Wow wow wow... Okay... Let me make this as clear and succinct as possible: There is a VERY clear difference between the vocabulary understood by a human and the vocabulary understood by an apple. If you truly believe your mental capacities rival those of an apple, I suggest you find help. I'm not saying for mods to change if their members request it, because quite frankly I don't really care, but the points of views expressed by the current mods in this topic is quite appalling. All the mods who've posted so far seem to assume they've got a a blank check to do whatever they want. I never once said I can do whatever I want.Don't go throwing assumptions and accusations. Brushfire
A mod should have perfect grammar' date=' be active an have a sense of responsibility. Also, they can't be egotistic.[/quote'] I question all of them to this particular forum. If YCMaker went by that, then Bloodrun wouldn't be a Mod.I'm not being an ass, considering Bloodrun has been alright to me lately, it's just the truth.Anyway, one the forums I've administrated (PEX, and soon SAW) I normally look for the following things: a) Professionalism.b) Responsibility.c) Normally, grammar. I don't mind slightly bad but pure l33t then I wouldn't choose them.d) Previous Experience.
Black Rose Phoenix®
Dark Raver' date=' it doesn't count with you telling us how a mod should be, the point is to find out [b']how members want you to be[/b]...your already a mod...¬_¬ Tell me exactly why my statement is wrong, i am merely saying that what the Moderators currently act like and do is fine as it is, members should not have to give opinions on changing a moderators behaviour, its like changing the sole purpose of an object, making a tree a scrubbing brush for example. Members get what Moderators they are given and they should embrace who the Moderator is, what they are like and what they do. Thay have there moments...when you was on stirke, that was pretty annoying...no offence... Why actually did you go on strike? I only got told, i never found out why... Junk Raver
What members want is irrelevant' date=' they get what they are given.[/quote'] This is the only thing I'm declaring to be strongly against. And there aren't a lot of alternative ways to interpret this sentence. ;) Then let me Re-phrase it in the way it should be interpreted. 'What members want in a Moderator is irrelevant, they get the Moderators that they are given' And at some point in this thread (cant remember where as it drags and gets confusing) it states that i am, well implys, that i am trying to say members cannot have freedom of speech, that is not correct, if it were, i would have locked the thread... Zeroshot
I believe this thread should be locked now. Just reading the first post says that the author of the thread is indirectly asking to be a mod.

YCM doesn't "get" the Mods it's given, their apparently well thought-out and chosen. Now I'm just wondering what valid reasoning they have to half the Mods picked, but that's just me. I'm not expecting the Mods to be perfect all the time, and of course their going to have different attitudes at different times, but it seems to me that some mods just have one opinion on things and won't budge open to new posibilities. Junk Raver
Yeah that sounds true. Every Moderator is extremely different from another, theres no 2 the same, so we all differ on how to behave and act regarding certain situations, some are closeminded, some are open, lucky dip really ^_^
