A Quote

Do you see the glass as half empty or half full? I stare at the glass until I get thirsty' date=' and then I drink the water inside. I do not worry about the glass itself, only its contents and the importance of the water. How do you see the glass?

[/quote']

I recited this quote when I was running for President of my school. I want someone to tell me what it means, cuz honestly, I do not know.

Well' date=' what do [i']you[/i] think it means?

Thats the point; I do not know. Now that I look back at it, it seems like it makes no sense. But everyone was cheering me on when I said that. But to me, it seems like it makes no sense. But I know that it does make sense, but it doesn't. Urgh! I am confuzzled.

No one wrote it for me, I thought of it on the spot. It might have been rebounded from an exsisting quote. And FM6, exactly what I was thinking. That is why it makes no sense, but I know it does make sense! But what does it make sense... about?

I have an idea. Not sure if this works.

It does not matter the external features of a person; what matters more is their heart' date=' soul, and mind.

Maybe that was it? I don't know!!!

[/quote']To make it more simple, it's not what's on the outside, but in the inside.

Man, no rocket science here

NS' date=' what you said makes no sense. And... I still don't know! Help me!

[/quote']

It means you are never thinking about things, only your own need.

If you see it half empty' date=' then you are a pessimist.

If you see it half full, you are optimistic.

[/quote']

And if you honestly don't care, you are intelligent.

There's the same amount of water regardless, and the possible outcomes are the same. The quote is basically saying you don't care; the outcome is what matters (drinking the water).

Alright, I'll give the meaning of:

Do you see the glass as half empty or half full? I stare at the glass until I get thirsty, and then I drink the water inside. I do not worry about the glass itself, only its contents and the importance of the water. How do you see the glass?

It means:

Do you see this life as something that's lacking what it should have, or something that has more than it should have? I don't think about it until someone asks me, and then I say that I just go through live because I have to. I do not worry about the afterlife, only what I sense and the importance of life. How do you see life?
