Welcome kind people! This is the Preliminary round of the YCM Champions tounament!!!!! You will be compeating for our fabulouse prizes of:

 

  • 10 points for best of round!
  • Honor
  • Glory
  • Pride
  • A special round based tribute card for best of round!
  • 6 reps for grand champion
  • Bragging rights
  • 130 points for grand champion

 

But before you can enter our tournament you need to read our rules, read them well because any fault may get you kicked.

 

  • No bribary
  • No unoriginal cards
  • You are to make a completely new card for every round but the prelims
  • All users wanting to join must ask, in their entry reservation post, for a cookie(so I know you read the rules)(god damnit, few of you are getting this).
  • No Spaming
  • No Complaining
  • No heckeling, insulting, or bullying.
  • DO YOU HEAR ME!
  • One person in each round but the Prelims will be eliminated(prelims will be more)

When you are scored you will be given 4 partial scores:Picture,Content(this includes Balance),OCG, and other details, each worth 25 points, your end score will be out of 100.

 

In the Prelims many of you are likely to be cut, so pick your best card! I will decide the cut of score based on the bell curve of your scores!

 

rounds will end on Dec.1st, Dec.8th, Dec.15th, and so on until all people are gone

Alright, now that I am officially in this contest, I'll post my card for the Preliminary Round. Here you go!

Effect: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by removing from play 5 monsters from your Graveyard. You can only control one "Vengeful Demon of Havoc". When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can remove from play 3 cards from your Graveyard to Special Summon this card to your side of the field.

[spoiler=Effect]This card can only be Special Summoned by discarding 2 Spell Cards from your hand to the Graveyard. This card gains 100 ATK for each Spell Card in your Graveyard. As long as this card remains face-up, negate the activation of Spell Cards on your side of the field. Each time a Spell Card's activation is negated, put 1 Negation Counter on this card. During the turn you removed 3 Negation Counters from this card, negate the effect of all effect cards on your opponent's field until your opponent's next Main Phase. You can use this card's effect during either player's turn. If this card is destroyed by battle, you can Special Summon it to your field by removing from play 2 Spell Cards in your Graveyard during your next Standby Phase.

 

So, Zoraida is a monster that negates the activation of Spell Cards on your field and gains 100 ATK for each Spell Card in your Graveyard. Like it's effect says for each Spell Card's activation negated, you put 1 Negation Counter on Zoraida. By removing 3 Counters from it, you gain a huge advantage for 1 turn. But, you can activate this effect during your opponent's turn as well, since there are some monsters that activate their effects during the Battle Phase only or when they attack. Zoraida's effect ends during the opponent's Main Phase - Main Phase 1 or 2, whatever comes first. If Zoraida is destroyed by battle, it can be returned to the field by removing from play 2 Spell Cards in your Graveyard. It's ATK will be lowered by 200, since 2 Spell Cards are removed from play which balances things a bit.
