Care to name some anti-theme cards?

Recommended Posts

[[ Not really looking to discuss the ability of anti-theme cards themselves, but to create a list. Feel free to argue points on cards suggested, though. Just not too much. ]]

I'm trying to make a list for future reference of cards that are decent to amazing anti-deck types. Cards that slow down or stop other deck themes. Anyone care to suggest a few they know of?

Examples: System Down, Jinzo (a stretch), Deck Lock, Anti-Spell Fragrance, Weed Out, etc.

Keep in mind I'm talking about realistic themes. Not like "Cards that have the name Tim" or "A WHOLE BUNCHA RANDOM!"

[spoiler=List As Of Now]

System Down

Witch's Last Day

Acid Rain

Elimination of Warrior

Deck Lock

Weed Out!

Zombie World

Jinzo

Royal Decree

Fragrance Storm

Mask of Restrict

Iron Imperial Wall

Chimeratech Fortress Dragon

Victoria

Electric Virus

Marionette Mite

Exile of the Wicked

Getsu Fuhma

Ryu Kokki

Insect Barrier

Nanobreaker

Drillroid

Sasuke Samurai, Silent Swordsman LV2, etc.

Non-Fusion Area

Chthonian Polymer

Mispolymerization

Dark Simorgh

Anti-Spell Fragrance is now anti-theme? Wanting to activate Spell Cards from the hand is not a theme. >_>

Also, everything I mentioned in the Type Killers topic is an extreme example of anti-theme, and many of the Zombie World-related cards are also anti-theme. Then there are sucky anti-theme cards like Royal Command...

Yes' date=' Anti-Spell Fragrance was a bit of a stretch as well. But if your deck is based out being able to quickly and effectively grab and activate Spell Cards, Anti-Spell will slow your deck down.

I just sort of threw it in there just because I couldn't think of much else.

The vast majority of decks rely on being able to activate their Spell Cards quickly. >_> You might was well call Magic Drain an anti-theme card.

Today's Meta relies on being able to activate Spells from the hand whenever possible. But if you are using a deck that doesn't rely much on spells, and will only activate about 1 per turn, then you can pretty much bypass this card no problem. Therefore, wouldn't you say some decks are susceptible to Anti-Spell than others?

Yes, and since some decks have more monsters than others, I would also say that some decks are more susceptible to Fissure than others.

Your definition allows virtually every card in the game to be labeled as anti-support.

Like I said, it was a stretch, like Jinzo. Just ignore that and stay on the subject, which is what you think anti-theme cards are.

Firegrass

That wasn't very funny >>

some girl in portland Oregon thought it was funny.

That is also not funny. It's overused by now. Get back on topic' date=' please?

i only used that ONCE. well aside from the potential arguement,

there is a trap card that states "Fusion Monsters cannot be summoned."

I forget what it's called, but it exists. does that count?

That would be non-fusion area. An awesome card against Hero loving n00bs.
